Like usual the Saints get stuck with the ugly chick. Looks like I’m gonna be watching a lot of Bengals games this year.

This shite is always so dumb.

"Take out his really good games and he wasn't that good!!!"

When they are outliers to the rest of his games? You should. There is a difference if a guy is consistently good with a couple of bad or really good games that are not that impactful on his performance.

You can also always take out game 1/2 of a season because teams aren't sure how to plan against him. Once there is film, teams will adjust and you will see what you really have. This is why one bad game to start or really good game should always be taken with a grain of salt.

He had 64% of his TDs in less than 30% of his games. That isn't randomly eliminating things.

With all of that said, I am not against the signing. My point is the two extremes in views of him. Some act like no matter what he will suck and ignore the lack of weapons on the team last year because of injury and bad FA/draft decisions, while others blow him based on 1 or 2 games and team record while he started.

They were 4-2 with him playing a full game. They beat 2 playoff teams in the first 6 games where he played significantly including losing to two teams that will pick in the top 10.

I am fine with the signing though and think he has potential. Not against it. Just stating facts that people are trying to oversell themselves on his signing vs others claiming utter idiotic decision-making by the Saints.

Outside of the opener (5 TDs, O INTs), he went 9 TDs and 3 INTs over 6 games.

Well take out every game but his first and he has %100 touchdown to interception ratio. I mean it's stupid to say that JUST as it's stupid to take out good games

So you try to make an analogy comparing counting 6/7 outings by talking about counting 1/7?

Some of you all's lack of understanding on how analysis works is quite amusing. That Packer game is an anomaly. How many players have had a game with 5TDs+ and less than 150 yards passing?

One! It's happened once in the history of the league, yet you don't seem to find that one game an anomaly.

Well, that's a bargain by most of today's QB contracts.

Gives the Saints room to go shopping in the draft or free agency for players they need.

Not when the sample size is 6 fricking games. It's disingenuous.

I am fine with this considering the other options that were available to us.

Saints still have all their draft picks. They could end up using that first rounder on a great burner receiver or rolling the dice on a qb like Kenny Pickett

We can still go draft a QB.

Why wouldn’t we draft an o lineman or WR ahead of a QB? Seeing as though deficits in those 2 positions always end up effing us mid to late season

I'm most curious, how did you type that when obviously you can't read English.

I said what typed was stupid, in the same sentence I typed it, right before I said just like it's stupid for people to just point out bad games.

You can compare everything at some point. Apparently every bit of his life is an anomaly EXCEPT for the time he spent with tampa Bay.

Again where did I say I was comparing the two except both would be stupid takes?

Glad its a two year deal. Numbers are not bad.

I graded JW last year as a "Incomplete" due to the WR's and his early exit.

Hopefully they are successful at improving the players around him and he has the chance to play a full season.

I pray we get a solid healthy oline around him and a decent group of WR's so that there are no excuses or questions about his ability to play at a high level.

I wonder if Armstead has any interest in playing with Jameis. Gotta wonder if that relationship matters.
