Report: Kayshon Boutte wants a trade

I wonder if the Patriots considered this as a factor in trading for AJ Brown.
So, if you're the Saints, would you rather:
A. Trade for Boutte and extend him and trade Olave.
B. Extend Olave.
And no one get your panties in a wad, this is just a hypothetical.

I'm a little nervous about extending Olave because of his injury history, but I think you have to do it after what he showed last year, especially once Shough took over.
As for Boutte, I love that he has played so well, but I can't see (in essence) choosing him over Olave.

I'd rather just extend Olave or have him play out the final year of his contract and see how the season goes. Boutte doesn't move the needle for me

He lead the entire NFL in deep catch success and td’s and was I think #1 or 2 in success rate when targeted as a whole. 4th in yards per reception and second in receiving success is the correct stat.
He is a budding star I delusionally never got off the hill he’s the 3rd best LSU receiver I can’t wait for buddy to finally prove me right.

Boutte shouldn't have any impact on what you do with Olave.

Everything Jayden Daniels struggled at that 1st year was everything he was good at. I have screenshot proof of this you were all complaining he didn’t throw across the middle and couldn’t stop taking off running when men were wide open.

I guess anytime you are dealing with a player who has had multiple concussions there is a concern. But Olave has played in at least 15 games in 3 of his 4 seasons.

If these are my only 2 options, you extend Olave.
Only way you consider that is if you think Tyson will take over as the #1 and Boutte will be satisfied being your #2.
I suspect Boutte is demanding a trade because he is now battling Doubs for the #2 spot behind AJ Brown, instead of contenting to be the #1 guy. Which also tells me that he'll be looking for a big payday next offseason. He won't command as much as Olave, but how much would you really save with Boutte as your #2 over Olave vs. how much production would you be giving up?
