People beg Saints for WR help all season. Saints get proactive to aquire WR. Those same people call Saints stupid.

Right especially when so many went right after him. Read the room perfectly.

So you’d be ok if he had gotten 64 more yards

His stats extrapolated over the 13 games

77 receptions
1,106 yards
15 TDs

Catching a TD on 20% of your receptions isn’t good, it’s dominant

He had 13 tD that’s not dominant.

If it was 20% of his passes it means he should have caught more passes.

This guy would have been a second rounder late first last year and were trading up to get him thisnyear.

His potential didn’t change.

There was literally an actually dominant WR on his team.

You guys got a stud and a great kid. Very unselfish player and extremely smart. Phenomenal route runner, deceptively fast and catches everything. I would have drafted him over Wilson.

Jameson got height, speed and good hands ? Chris alive lacks in 2 of those areas vs Jameson and Jameson was definitely still available at the 11th pick

You must be talking about Jaxson Smith Njigba

Wilson 2019-2021

32 Games
143 catches
2,213 yards
23 TD

Olave 2019-2021

31 Games
163 catches
2,505
32 TDs

At best he’s got Justin Jefferson vibes.

Jefferson forced 25 missed tackles as a Jr

Olave forced 9 missed tackles his whole career

What really made it a value trade is that we got ahead of the run and for a very reasonable deal.

It’s not a 1 for 1 comp but they look similar on the field. Both look slight of build but hold up physically, both fluid as frick.

I doubt he busts. Penning is more likely to bust IMO
