The Twitter comments are eye opening. What team are these people watching?

Kamara has lengthened his career since he got here by running out of bounds instead of trying to extend plays by cutting back in.He has avoided contact more than any saints RB ever.He was a very good player for the saints but played to his own self benefit by not playing tough.

I am not a fan of Duncan most of the time, but i can admit when he is right - and he is here

The pass blocking stat really stands out, but last year was the first season I can recall him being horrible in pass protection. Would be curious to see that stat year over year for his career.

Fairly early on last season we took Kamara out of the game on 3rd downs and put in in rookie Devin Neal, and we saw it for all 3 phases running, receiving, and pass pro. That says a lot, especially considering Kamara is supposed to be 3rd down type back

We can make excuses for some of the numbers like the O-line being bad, Rattler was the starter for most of the games and so on, but the effort and explosion just were not there. Then when you factor in salary.......

It almost seemed like he didn't want to be there most of the time. He wiffed on do many blocks last year.

It's not that surprising. Basically just people like Alvin more than Jeff Duncan or Mickey.

It’s pretty silly. He wrote about Kamara’s performance and included stats. Didn’t say he was a bad guy.

I thought Alvin looked good early on when kubiak was calling plays and everybody was healthy.

but then one by one we started losing players including him.

but last year really that only run where he looked good was that touchdown when he scored against Arizona and then after that I can't recall any sort of eye-popping run.

they didn't draft any running backs. and I get it they signed one in free agency who's going to be probably the primary ball carrier.

but there's just nothing else proven at running back. unfortunately for Alvin all he's done is proved the last few years that he can't stay healthy. I'm not privy to all those fancy stats that Duncan posted but I guess he's not lying either.

How soon people forget who QBs were since Drew retired, although AK41 regressed, the bad QB play and OL play had a lot to do with his success, look at his Brees yr and since. Now with a decent QB and a #1 RB, he can be a 3rd down guy or spell Etienne and have a productive season

Improper usage. Stop using Kamara like he's Mark Ingram. He's a running back that you get the ball to in space.

He was this. Now he’s collecting a check, old, and won’t be around for the best years of this new regime.

And he got paid very handsomely for his service. This idea that any player is owed anything is Bullchit. IM tired of that storyline. It may have been true in the 70s and 80s when contracts werent so inflated but now?? chit these guys make generational money even as back ups. So NO, nothing is owed Kamara and if he loveds NOLA so much either take a pay cut or retire. Its the right thing. ANything else is stupid.

Saints wanted to unload him at deadline last year
it didn't happen
then he got hurt

it's time to move on and if Kamara wants to be a Saint or retire then cut bait

Well, hit piece or not, Kamara was absolute dog shite last year. He was pass protecting like a high school scout team RB and had absolutely no burst. Hell, Taysom on a Robocop knee had more burst than him.

I love Kamara for what he did, but I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with cutting him. He is done!
