Agreed. I don’t know how you could have watched Kamara last year, and not come to the conclusion that a LOT of business decisions were made by him. His pass pro, in particular, was embarrassing.

Everything he said about Kamara's performance last year was true.

Can't argue with facts...with very few exceptions, RB is a young man's game...even the greats like Smith, Harris, Peterson saw significant drops in performance near the 9-10 year mark.

DUNCAN is the author of BOUNTY GATE, he will ALWAYS BE a STAIN in New Orleans sports history.

Yet he was the only RB who got over 100 carries? And only Devin Neal and Taysom Hill eclipsed 50 carries? That speaks to mismanagement.
Everyone with eyes and half a brain could see that Kamara isn't a workhorse back. There should be someone who can limit Kamara's carries to about 150-180/year (not including receptions). And that hasn't really been happening in any effective sense since Latavius Murray in 2020.
I can't totally blame him if he's a bit checked out. It's obvious that this team has floundered a bit with injuries and poor decision-making from higher ups the past 5 years. And I think Kamara knows that this is his almost certainly final year here.
Hopefully having just 131 carries last season refreshes him and has him ready to produce this year.

It’s pretty silly. He wrote about Kamara’s performance and included stats. Didn’t say he was a bad guy.
Yeah its not like he also included that AK paid 100k in medical bills and did community service for jumping a dude. He only talked about how shitty he was on the field.

Who can blame a guy who gets paid $10mil to not do his job right? Why be a leader when you can take plays off and demand more money? Every great RB should just give up on the team when things are rough.

Duncan is used by the Saints. He carries Loomis' water even though they screwed him by having him write this gem the day before Payton left:
Nola.com

He wrote the Bounty Gate stuff when he was brownnosing Goodell and Rita Benson before moving his nose to Loomis. Rita hated Payton and thought by feeding the NFL the Bounty Gate info it would push him out.
Remember the Loomis spy microphone story? That was a plant to see where the leak was in the organization and it was right after that the "family"issues got worse.

Yet he also very vocally refused to be traded. The guy is pretty clearly coasting in the twilight of his career and being paid very handsomely for his meager production.

Yeah, I was with Kamara until he pulled this shite last yr.
He clearly didn't give a frick on the field and threatened retirement.
But now he wants to be paid for this yr with only 3 kil guaranteed. The saints must want to cut him or take a pay cut. Seems like they are too scared to do it though.

He doesn't want to play for another team and some think this is bad?
He has a contract under which to play that the FO gave him to sign. He signed it.
If CKM has a vision for him fine. If not cut him and take the hit.
No one is a bad guy in this no matter how hard yall look.

Not saying it’s bad. But he doesn’t get the luxury of “checking out” due to a dysfunctional organization if he wouldn’t be more motivated to play for a contender IMO. Can’t have it both ways.

He was this. Now he’s collecting a check, old, and won’t be around for the best years of this new regime.
He had a career rushing year not even two calender years ago. Last year was a shite show for half the season and I don't fully blame him for what he produced last year.
That being said, if Moore and company are seeing during camp the he really has no juice left then maybe this sport isn't for him anymore.

Which was still only 950 yards in a 17 game season with a long of only 24…and he wasn’t 31. There are a lot of mid tier backs that can give you that kind of production on 230 touches.

How utterly stupid was re-signing Kamara?
Does anybody have the exact breakdown for the remaining years on his contract after the recent restructure/50% clause we used? Guaranteed cash payout each year, cap hit, and dead money now compared to if released/traded post June 1st?
As I understand for '26 he is guaranteed $11.5M, base salary is $1.3M, cap hit is $10.5M. I guess I'm confused on what has already been paid of the guaranteed money and what is actually left t be paid each season. Does this mean that we are only paying him $1.3M this season plus incentives ($500k per playoff win / 1,600 scrimmage yards)? If that's the case even though his base salary makes him tradeable from another team's perspective they would have to offer us "enough" compensation.
Post 6/1 release;
'26 dead cap $11.4M...Savings is none, actually cost us $888k
'27 dead cap $8M
Post 6/1 trade;
'26 dead cap $10M.....Savings of $456k
'27 dead cap $8M
