The #Falcons are signing OT Storm Norton off the #Saints’ practice squad, source says.

Last NFL regular season snaps were in 2020

Played 3 games

54.5% completion percentage
2 passing TDs to 6 Interceptions
32.8 QBR
Sacked 7 times
0-3 as a starter

Bet some of you will be more grateful when Haener comes back

If he ever sniffs playing time, we’re in deep shite.

Lol well we fricked up not trading Winston when he had some sort of value. Now he has absolutely zero trade value. Could’ve easily fools gold the cardinals or jets into trading for him . To get some sort of help on the oline or something

Imagine signing an o-lineman who isn't good enough to make the Saints' roster.

I see you did absolutely no analysis of the numbers we keep on the active roster

Doesn't this mean you have to keep him all season? I thought that was a measure to keep teams from poaching other practice squads.

Luton might be the worst QB on the Panthers roster in the past 10 seasons and they have had a lot of bad ones.

Weird pickup.

Its for 1-2 weeks while haener is out. He’ll prob be our 3rd string behind winston and hill this week. Not a huge deal

It's not really hard to figure out.

The Saints currently have 1 and a half QB's on the roster.

Hill has too much value to this team to lock him into only the QB roll unless it's an emergency situation. Luton will be on the roster until Carr is full go or Heaner returns (whichever comes first) only to be a EOTW emergency QB. If he ever sees the field it will only be to keep someone else from getting hurt trying to play QB when thats not their position.

Winston only had value to the Saints. No one else wanted him for the price the Saints likely would have requested. If the Saints had managed to trade Winston then Luton, or Hill, would now be the starting QB.

Ironically, Luton has to be on the active roster for 3 weeks, in 3 weeks Haener's suspension will be done and will most likely replace Luton on the active roster. Wonder if they put Luton on the PS or drop him completely.

Yes, but Winston was the smart play financially. Dalton was a FA, Winston was still under contract (and even renegotiated his salary to stay)

I also have a feeling Dalton did not want to resign with the Saints once they brought in Carr. He probably wanted to go somewhere with an opportunity to start/play. He didn't sing with Carolina until about a week after the team traded for Carr
