He went to Georgia, his original partner was an LSU student, an LSU professor helped with the first business plan, and first restaurant was on LSU campus.

I had that professor for marketing around 1997. He would tell the story about the business plan and where it needed to be tweaked (if I remember correctly, the professor said the original project got a B+ grade). Even though they only had two locations at the time, I remember the professor admitting the original business plan might have been a little more successful than he first thought.
I moved to aisle seats in sec 109 (corner of end zone) - aisle closest to center of field. 16th row. They were a little bit more expensive than where I was in sec 129. The issue is I have no idea if they’re actually better seats or not and how the view is. The 360 view feature can be misleading. I was looking for 200 or 300 level but wife wanted to sit a bit lower. If the seats suck, I will relocate next year I guess.

re: Kamara Offensive Role

I agree with you in that I don’t think he is completely washed up (assuming he’s healthy), though he’s also not going to be the AK of even 2-3 years ago. The offensive line was awful last year and the bulk of his games were with Rattler at QB. I think with Shough and an offensive line that is healthy and plays relatively well, AK can be productive.
I think the price is OK given the cap Increase. The other thing is his last year will be his age 30 season, and he has a little bit less wear and tear because of missing his rookie year. You might be playing a slight premium because of the number of years on the contract, but I don’t think it’s truly an insane number. And as others have mentioned- likely some dummy years.
I’ll defend him a tiny bit too. He had the MCL sprain in November and really never looked the same. I’m not saying he was all-pro before, but he was better before the injury.
Lane Train is rolling and trolling.

It’s nice to finally be the school doing what all others did. And got away with.
I like Shaheed, but he was a guy that we got via scouting small schools for a kick returner and then developed into an NFL caliber WR. I’m not saying there’s dozens of guys like that out there with his raw speed, but I’d rather take my chances finding another high-upside diamond in the rough rather than potentially paying him a lot of money, given team’s more pressing needs.
To be fair, Wilson was coaching like the game was already over before it was. Last few minutes were a clinic in what not to do.

Given the two, it’s not Lane we should be upset with.
I don’t wear jerseys much anymore, but my favorite one to wear is my authentic 1988 Rickey Jackson jersey. It’s 37 years old, but still pristine. I wore it to the Super Bowl as a nod to our past (at that time). I’d have no issue wearing it again to the Dome for a game if I went with a jersey. Don’t care how old it is or how long ago he played. My opinion is it’s always OK to wear an all-time team great. There is no shelf life on those.

“Stole” their coach so might as well “steal” their best players as well if we can.

This guy clearly does not know what a direct quote is. A direct quote is the actual words someone said, not something that you heard through the rumor mill that someone says they heard LK say.

His point about litigation was absurd too.
The talent was largely there but the coaching wasn’t. We fixed that part.

If LSU can’t deliver on these incentives and Florida and Ole Miss are reportedly offering the same thing… wouldn’t that mean they can’t deliver either?

Exactly. His argument is that we can’t guarantee an NIL amount. But neither can anyone else.

Sauce for the goose. His argument is self defeating.

Perhaps. But terrible coaching all year makes it hard to judge how big an effort it will really be.
Maybe a coincidence, but have you noticed that many of these “sources” tend to release information on weekdays shortly after schools are let out?

I will say…at least Danman has a ton of posts and knows the rules if he’s wrong.

I mean, is he lying?

No, not for the most part. But Gainesville isn’t exactly nice either.

That would be pretty cool if accurate. He’s both a College and Pro Hall of Famer. Name recognition alone would get attention for SU.

Honesty. We appreciate it. Thanks for sharing and being forthright.

I noticed he didn’t say change that LSU and Penn St one.
I think he gets one more year if he gets to a bowl but you have seen his ceiling as a coach. Unless he tears up CUSA or SBC (whichever conference they play next year), which I doubt, he is done when contract ends. Watching them play - there is a huge coaching and talent gap from when Skip Holtz was there.
