I heard on ESPN radio that the Titans want to move Tannehill. I’d take a look…

He just might ball out in our system. Smart QB with decent mobility. I have no idea of contract that we would take on but if dollars work we might want to take a look. Not the long term answer but could help groom a younger QB for a couple years.

why do you think they want to trade him?

His contract runs up in 2023 and would be owed almost $60mm. That’s a hard pass for an above avg game manager. I think if we spend money on a qb the saints can save a few bucks resigning Jameis for a one or two year deal.

We don't have a system yet. Why would anyone think he would be a decent NFL QB in New Orleans which has way less skill talent than Nashville?

Tannehill provides you the same upside Jameis does

The topics and opinions on this site reaches a new low everyday. So you telling me with a straight face that Tannehill is better than Winston? ?? I’m not even considering the contract situation.

Tannehill can’t even win with a 150 yard per game running back. How the heck you think he can win with a offense that has to be creative to squeeze 75 yards a game as a team?

Play action should be pitch and catch with a running back that dominant.

They'd have $28M is dead money if they trade him.

Take somebody's quarterback who couldn't cut it and is on half of one good Knee????

Sounds like only two firsts instead of three

They won't make any major personnel moves before hiring a coach...that'd be insane. You have to have guys that fit the system you want to run. So while you believe Tannehill will fit Payton's/Carmichael's system, if they hire someone else that wants a different system and T stinks, then they've just wasted time and money.

their GM on Wednesday

"Ryan’s our quarterback," Robinson said. "He’s made a lot of plays for us. He’s a great leader. He’s extremely tough. Love what Ryan brings to our football team, love what he stands for. We’re looking forward to him getting back in there, and getting back on track, and keeping this thing rolling."

Winston is better and we already have a pretty good sense of how he "balls" in our system (whatever that means now that we have no coach)

I'm all for going in a new direction to try and get better, but moving on to a slightly different journeyman QB is just treading water.

wont happen, he has an even worse way overpaid contract then MT does
no one will take that contract on because he has shown he isnt worth half that money

still would be nice to have him here but im not sold he is the answer

now, that said, if we eat MT contract and they eat Tannehill's then a player for player swap would get us a "decent" QB and we can move forward from there without much changing as far as our cap situation

If they are looking for a game manager, I would actually prefer Jimmy G. Rumor is 49ers are looking for a 2nd or 3rd & player for him. He'd have a Cap hit of around $22M in 2022 and be a FA after. If you can get him to agree to a trade and extension to reduce that # and lock him up for a few years; you can still keep you options open to find a rookie QB over the next few years (wouldn't draft one this year when you just invested a pick in JG) and have your game manager on deck

I'd be interested if Payton was still in the building, but he isn't

If he can't get it done with AJ Brown and J. Jones to throw to, and D. Henry to hand-off to IOT take pressure off the passing game...hard pass. Rather Winston if those are my two choices.
