Ok I think I have it now based on some other reports.
Raiders.
They fire McDaniels, do their token interviews, Tom Brady and CSP to Las Vegas.

She has a history of being able to get legitimate inside information from a few teams (including Saints). There are some morale questions about how she gets the information, but she has been able to be the first to leak reputable info before.

I thought they didn't even have the cash on hand to fire mcdaniels.
Then would have to pay payton 20-25 mil.

Not that I want him back, but maybe Payton goes back to the Saints in 2024 once the inevitable 2023 shitshow under Allen is done and the Saints end up with a high draft pick where you might be able to grab a quarterback. After all, Payton suggested through Duncan he’d be willing to come back. Of course, he’s openly pined this season for a few jobs other people held or still currently hold.
I don’t think he ends up with the Raiders because the Raiders are reportedly cash-poor and can’t afford to just eat the McDaniels contract and pay Payton what he wants.

If Sean doesn’t go somewhere this year, I think it’s way more likely he ends up back in New Orleans. Not sure that’s something I would want, but it would certainly be tantalizing to him especially if we get a top 5 selection in the draft

She isn’t the only reporter SP bemoaned the lack of juice for the Saints. After boutygate, the NOLA no call, reversing challenges for DPI, and the ridiculous fines for Jordan faking injuries can you blame him or anyone?

Payton is overrated. I've said this time and time again. He wasted so many of Brees' good years with bad signings and drafts. Continously fielded bad defenses and choked away playoff games against inferior competition. Hopefully someone is dumb enough to trade abd overpay for the dumbass so we can him behind us.
