Cowboys or Chargers.

Anybody waiting to "Swoop in" tells me it's either BS or CSP has already ok'd a trade there if they can work out compensation to the Saints.

And no CSP doesn't have to "ok" the trade but no team is going to trade for him if he's not willing to sign a long term contract with them. So in essence he does have to approve of the trade.

I don't see spanos paying Payton the amount he wants or giving up the necessary picks to do it, this screams Dallas.

Mentions that the broncos interview didn't go so well, the russini blurb here, and some thinking Sean just returns to fox.

If Sean returns to fox, this offseason is shaping up to be a disaster... just like our season.

I don't see SP agreeing to coach for Spanos. He'll have other opportunities with better owners.

She is an SP mouthpiece but could also just be trying to drive up his price

I love how the LaConfora assumes the available jobs next year will be better. No way to know that at all. Huge assumption.

If the Denver interview did not go well, could be why Arizona is now back in the discussion. I think he wants to be on the west coast if possible.

my next year price wouldn't budge a fricking inch if i'm the saints. He's still under contract, if they want him at that time, the price is still to be paid.

Don’t let the Hamlin thing distract you.

Doug M definitely underachieved this year and last. He definitely could get fired. He’s not nearly as untouchable as some may think.

So a reporter gets told by unknown source that a unknown team is waiting for unknown stuff to happen concerning CSP.

Wish I could make a living with such crap lol

Other pieces of the picture are in play.

From the Dallas Cowboys’ Twitter account:

"Dak Prescott gave away the ball twice in the narrow loss to the 49ers, in a matchup the Cowboys had a chance to win if they didn’t again generate self-inflicted wounds," the tweet read.

Jerry had to approve that tweet.

Jerry canceled his regular radio interview.

Jerry is not happy.

Drive the price up Jerry.

Jerry is old. The time is now.

Yeah frick that count! She was the reason all this Payton shite started in the first place. She said "perhaps" he wants to go to a team where the Owner has some juice with the league office like Dallas." Where she always get that Payton inside info from? If you ain't down to ride with the black and gold, then frick you!!

It is absolutely Dallas

IMO it reads as, if Sean doesn't get another job offer they have to compete with, and then they get the chance to talk to him and confirm he'd want the Dallas job, then and only then would they fire McCarthy. They won't fire him unless they know for sure they're getting Sean. Thus, the "ducks must be in a row" ... some stuff needs to happen

just speculation but thats what makes sense to me

Serious question. Is Payton that much better than McCarthy?

He has a slightly better career win %. And basically the same post season record.

McCarthy has the same number of SBs and more NFCG appearances.

Remove this one play and Payton has two more playoff wins and an additional Superbowl victory potentially:

He is the better coach. There were other suspect officiating in other playoff games as well.

IMO, it would be really hard to say until Payton goes to another team and we see what kind of success he can have/sustain. All success from Payton is matched with Brees, so the question will always loom about "who made who?" until Payton shows he can do it without Brees

Also, look at the teams both got their start with. Payton came in and quickly rebuilt a franchise with a history of being terrible. He then took them to the next level. McCarthy took over a historically good team, coming off of a bad year, with a lot of great pieces in place.
