She's a horrible person for not firing those involved in 2018/2019, instead she gave resources to the cover up.

I don’t understand. She should have fired people for doing what she wanted them to do; which was advise the Catholic Church on how to handle/cover up the situation? I don’t think anyone believes Gayle wasn’t aware if not requesting that Saints’ personnel do this.

Goodell will get the refs to make it very hard for Saints to win any games

Gayle and Tom’s marriage was set up by the Archbishop years ago.. they have been beholden to the archdiocese
ever since.

So we have a righteous gold digger I guess on our hands. Whored her way into billions and then tries to wash all that away by buying favor with a bunch of pedophilic churches.

Such a great representative of the city and state.

Anyone that defends them, especially after it is now clear they lied about the content of those emails, needs their head examined.

Glad I don’t really care about this team anymore, but hate seeing horrible human beings not being held accountable for awful actions.

Old news.

The timing of this attack on the Saints organization and who is involved in this attack (and who did nothing to prevent it) and their motives should be your concern.

"• Saints executives were so involved in the church's damage control that a team spokesman briefed his boss on a 2018 call with the city's top prosecutor hours before the church released a list of clergymen accused of abuse. The call, the spokesman said, allowed us to take certain people off the list

Sounds like some front office wanted their names off the list.

You’re reading this wrong. It’s saying that saints employees were involved as support in the case against the priests/clergy. Not involved in the accusations themselves.

That isn’t great and it shines more of a light than what the team kinda blew off in the past, but it’s not saying they’re pedos.

they'll only force her to sell if there's some racial slurs or homophobia in the emails.

All of the saints fans screaming "bIDeN iS a pEdO have sure been quiet about this. Must be pretty miserable to be New Orleans catholic, your priest rape children, then the saints try to help with damage control and get caught lying. What fricked up piece of shite religion, and it's response from everyday Catholic's is pathetic. These people clutch their pearls when see they a mosque but have nothing to say when their own priests rape children.

at minimum maybe this is enough to get oust him and then Loomis is vulnerable

Lauscha is GONE. And I wouldn’t be surprised if the NFL forced Gayle to sell. So this is a pretty big double edged sword.

Get Lauscha and Gayle out but likely lose Moore. And we’ll have to settle for Kafka

If Snyder can be forced out, why not Gayle?

Very upsetting to read that.

As far as timing goes - New Orleans is hosting the Super Bowl which means interest-level in the city is heightened good or bad.

The AP was granted access to many of the emails the 1st time, but the Saints fought to withhold some of them, and was granted their wish due to some formalities with the court system IIRC.

These are probably the juicy ones that were witheld the 1st time

Yes.

This is just rehashing and repackaging an old story (with a few new shiny bells and whistles) for a journalist to try to gain attention ahead of the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Nothing more.

It's like how the Will Wade story broke on the eve of the 2019 NCAA Tournament, and loser journalist kept publishing basically the exact same story a week or so before LSU would play in the NCAA Tournament in 2020 and 2021. Nothing new. Just trying to gain attention.

The breadth of journalism has never been wider because of the internet and social media. But that means the depth has never been shallower. In a dying, dime a dozen profession, all involved are fighting desperately for scraps of attention. If that means resurrecting an old story (no pun intended) so be it.

My thing is, as a grown adult with morals, ethics, and critical thinking, what makes you want to cover up for pedophiles?
People who molested hundreds of kids.
Is it religion?
Is it power?

What would make dozens of saints front office officials help out? Bc their boss said to?

While the emails and such have been known for awhile, the two things this article shown new light on were:
1. The saints were the first people to have access to the list outside of the Catholic Church
2. The saints helped get ppl off the list
3. The amount of aid the saints provided to help curate a narrative for the church

This is damning, not only on the org, but the humans who helped the pedos as well.

There was not anything really new, the NFL has known about this for a while.

This organization is rotten from the top down. I think I’m finally done.
