Dude legitimately reminds me of taller, longer Tyrann. Serious ball skills that you can't teach.

The fact that this staff felt highly enough on him to reach also gives me more confidence than uncertainty.

he's definitely a baller. i still don't think he was drafted that high to play cb long term. i think at some point he moves to safety. he's an ok cb, but not worth the pick at that position. solid depth while he learns his future roll.

100%.

Taylor is okay in coverage but doesn't have the explosiveness and change of direction to cover routes with sudden breaks. Gets turned around a ton and isn't a starting NFL corner. His future is definitely at safety and I think he's going to be a good one.

this is the knock on taylor. i wouldn't want him playing man coverage against nfl wrs. he's fine for depth, but isn't what we would call a waterbug.

Hope this is not a replay of the Nebraska CB drafted in 2nd round, total reach and waste of high pick

They drafted this kid with the main focus of him being the primary gunner on special teams and if he works out at corner that’s just a plus. The Saints value the importance of special teams more than most other teams and know the value an elite gunner can provide.

I wasn't crazy about his highlights. Most of them are a result of bad QB play, and I'm glad he did get the strip against UF but that can also become a bad habit when you should be focused on stopping the ball carrier.

The highlights did intrigue me enough to ask the resident 10RC fans here about him, and their feedback was more encouraging.

Either A: you're an idiot

Or B: the front office is full of idiots

its A.

seriously, when Brisker went to Chicago one pick ahead, I firmly believe Taylor was the next highest rated CB/FS prospect on their board, so they took him. Whether that was the right call... time will tell, but he's an intriguing FS prospect in my mind.

He’s actually very explosive, his footwork isn’t NFL starter caliber. When his feet are right, it all clicks. It can probably be fixed with NFL coaching. All that said, I hop he plays safety as well.

Or TE Trey McBride, or LB Nakobe Dean, or DT Travis Jones

Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how Taylor pans out compared to some of the guys we could have had who went after him.

Seems kinda stiff to me.

I honestly think they panicked when brisker got picked a spot before them.

Not saying he won't be a good corner but it did seem like he went high.

Very competitive and a team leader.

If they felt that confident then it's not a reach to them
