I'm not in favor of it but do believe the Saints will do their due diligence this offseason and field offers

3 years ago yes. Today...only if he's a net negative in terms of attitude

I do sense that he's played his last down for the Saints

I

In a perfect world, I would like to keep his talent and skill. I don't think we're going to get that from him anymore, so if we can get anywhere near market value at this point, we should.

Would you like to continue moving forward with the group of #4 or worse WR options and shitty offense we have?

Or see if we can work through the issues with one of our best players, among the best WR in the league, and get back to winning?

I suppose we should just give up in life anytime there are hurdles, or things aren’t sunshines and rainbows.

I feel like almost all the MT angst is for something other than what happened on a football field. I only give a shite about these guys bc they're great at football... I really don't care what their opinions, what they post on Twitter, or how big of a douche they are. MT is a great football player, and as long as Sean is fine with him being back, I want MT back

I’d prefer to watch a healthy Michael Thomas, an athletic draft pick like Treylon Burks, Deonte Harris, and Alvin Kamara all on the field at the same time next season. Throw in Marquez Callaway working the soft spots in the zone and one-on-one against the third or fourth best defensive back. I’m not a Michael Thomas apologist, but he catches everything within his wingspan, whether it was thrown by Drew Brees, Taysom Hill, or Teddy Bridgewater.

depends on the terms of the deal. getting rid of him for a used washing manchine? No. Getting rid of him for value and immediately deployable assets? yes

he doesnt want to be here

he doesnt want to play for this team or our coaches any more

denying that is no longer rational, the only question is who would buy out his ridiculous stupid contract they gave him to make him happy and if anything, all that it did was poison the trade options for us and speed up his DGAF attitude towards playing here.

That this thread is even on here after the season our team had at wr is absurd.

100% A lot of grown adults on here that are upset because MT didn't tote the company line and dared to have an opinion that was different than Brees. I did not agree with what MT and others said, but it's their right to have different perspectives.

Then you have a different group of individuals that do not understand that people/players have the right to get a 2nd opinion; especially when discussing surgery. Hell, the team doctors most likely advised him that he would be able to play through the ankle injury, and when that proved to be wrong he went and sought a different opinion. His medical team tried the non-surgical route and it didn't work. Therefore, he ended up needing surgery anyway. But, because it wasn't based on the Saints medical team's time frame, people want to read into it as if he quit on the team/coaches

I don't know what really happened so I can't really judge if there is a reason for trading him. I do get the sense from the situation that it's not really a good relationship at the moment. If it were me, I'd try to keep him.

Saints have a glaring need at WR and you want to trade away arguably the best WR since he entered the league???
