He is an expiring contract.
I thought he had a year left. My bad.
I’d bet money our idiot GM would give him an extension before he plays a minute for us like he has with the previous two centers he traded for.

Jake Madison just made a good point about what the Pels are likely looking for with BI. They likely only wanting expirings back because if they take future money back like Wiggins or RJ Barrett, then they wouldn't have enough tax space next year to flip CJ for a better player.
Then just let BI expire, and try to do a S&T with him in the offseason to get a large TPE at worst

Well, they might do that if they don’t get the deal they want. Right?

This was Jake reading the tea leaves rather than being sourced, but it makes sense and this suggests 2 things: They don't plan to resign BI if they can't trade him, and Griff ain't going nowhere if he's setting himself up for next season.

It’s just crazy that all of the fans saw it before management did.
Yet those same fans think Zion is salvageable.

Yup, whole lot of scuttlebutt on Durant being moved, Suns are talking to other teams besides the warriors per Stein

Suns have highest team salary. Their tax bill is higher than 8 teams salary. Makes sense to move 36 year old Durant, especially since Beal won’t waive his no trade clause.
Maybe try get back some expiring contracts.

Their plan appears to be getting Butler in KD’s place, maybe with Draymond. They aren’t getting any cheaper.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Levert and Bogi would work salary wise for Ingram…

I believe Capella and his bird rights are the goal. Theres a workable three team trade where Lavert also comes here as an additional expiring.
Hunter becomes less needed with Ingram and this helps them pay for BI. There could be something there

Problem is Capela at 22 million and Levert at 17 million pushes us further into the tax.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Washington took a whole lot less for Kuzma than they were asking for

I think it’s bogdon and capela for Ingram with a 3rd team getting paid to take on Bogdon who has been awful this year and looks like a bad contract now. Maybe we get some 2nds but most of the value will go to the 3rd team for taking Bogdon

I guess they rather increase their chances of getting either Cooper Flagg or the two Rutgers freshmen. They are worth more.

Did yall see how the Rockets lost yesterday? Ume is brain dead. I can’t imagine if Willie allowed that shite to happen.

I have a bad feeling that we're just going to move Javonte to get under the tax and call it a day.

Also Kuzma is just not very good.
