What are we, 7 years running where everyone is expecting us to be the 4th team in some megatrade?
Yeah I know, right? Just think Luka trade is going to cause a bunch of teams to reset. Clear separation of the top eight teams with the effects of the apron and new TV deal. Teams will want to get financial/personnel lined up going forward.

Hard to say since we don't know what else is going out and what else is coming in.

Always thought there are trades out there, Griff may want a last shot at big game hunting.

There’s definitely trades available. Inwould definitely take Bogi as he’s in the midrange of salary that you need to get those stars.
I know the likely deal Atlanta is trying for sends Capela and Bogi out, but if we can get them to do Bogi and Hunter for Ingram, JRE and Green I believe that would duck us right under the tax.

If tweet fails to load, click here. If Phoenix trades KD for Butler they may takeover Dallas as the worst run organization in the league

Murray, Bogi and Capella would’ve fit 3 needs this offseason… why didn’t they just throw in Ingram and make a massive trade?

I don't think that's what's being discussed...
It's
1. Get Butler
2. Trade Durant

Capella is not a center that fits with Zion.
And he’s not even capable of staying on the court late in games b/c he can’t play switching defense and he’s a horrific free throw shooter. I’d rather an expiring than Capela.

He is an expiring contract.

Capela is an expiring, that’s why he would make sense to come in the trade.
With that said, it doesn’t make sense for us to trade BI only for expiring salary, might as well keep him since he is expiring also and we would have a better chance of someone needing to do a S&T for him in the offseason

Wouldn’t Capella make sense for the Lakers right now? Maybe there is a 3-team deal to be made.

I think they are already there. Depending on what cam Johnson goes for, they potentially have given up 10-11 first round picks for Durant. And now they will ship him off?
Griff has been horrible burning through our war chest with nothing to show for it. But Phoenix is next level shite.

Phoenix got a new owner who told the staff to do retarded things.
Griff has been making retarded decisions with limited input from Benson and Loomis IIRC.

This seems to be a theme among new owners in the NBA.
Mavs just got new owners and they made a dumbass trade.

With him being an expiring, Zion rarely being healthy and it not having any impact on us drafting Missi, it makes sense.
They chose to go Missi/Theis instead of shipping off BI and having a competent C rotation. At some point, they have to understand that the BI/Zion core isn’t going to be a consistent healthy option and plan for that.

It’s just crazy that all of the fans saw it before management did.
I promised myself if Griff didn’t move Bi in the offseason, I was done. Here I am still watching games when we’re 6-53

Jake Madison just made a good point about what the Pels are likely looking for with BI. They likely only wanting expirings back because if they take future money back like Wiggins or RJ Barrett, then they wouldn't have enough tax space next year to flip CJ for a better player.
