Well, maybe I’m wrong but I’m very close in age to this cat and I know how societally accepted it is to wager on sports among my peers. He is a high end QB and plays by a different set of rules. I don’t know this guy’s financial situation when this ordeal went down, it sounds like he’s pretty set now. So in my eyes, it looks like he was just throwing around a couple of dollars for the entertainment of it and I hate that that would end his college career when it seems to be a victimless crime in this situation. I understand yalls viewpoint on the precedent of it though.
If he was doing like $10 or more I’d agree, but $1 or $2.50, dude was just having fun tossing around a little cash.
I’m gonna be gone for the next 5 months from this board, just wanted to say hope we hire Rondo and that Broski is a bitch.
I can definitely acknowledge his actions breached the rules. But I’m a proportionality guy and I don’t think betting on his games that he didn’t play in should result in a punishment that ends his college career. Unless there’s more to the story we don’t know of yet.
This story seems like a big nothing burger, blown way out of proportion. Dude bet a small sum on his team to win when he was a redshirt freshman and didn’t even appear in the games. I get rules are rules but cmon, this is far far different than when that NBA player told his buddies to take his unders and then faked an injury to sit out.
Live betting balls and strikes does not make him “addicted addicted”. Dude was at the game, probably a few beers deep, tossing around a couple dollar bills to make it more entertaining. $2.50 and $1 bets is actually the most tame thing I’ve heard. Now obviously if he was betting on his own team, he’s probably cooked.
I think you could see McDaniels smiling as he was about to gather the ball knowing he was about to summon a shite storm by dunking that lol.
Does not necessarily mean Olave is on his way out. Olave, if healthy, should be an even better player surrounded by all the new talent.
We got a 7th back as well so we basically dropped 70 spots for this guy. Worth a shot for sure.
7th overall pick a couple years ago. They gave up on him pretty quick.
This post is unfortunately very true. CJ was one of the worst moves we ever made, this organization simply could not give us a competent PG.
Vele is better than those guys. OP just really really loves to point when he thinks he was right with his past takes. Might be some lower form of narcissism or something, maybe he didn’t get enough attention as a child.
2 former Pels with back to back MIPs lol. Good for NAW though.
Hayes has turned into a pretty solid player for the Lakers. Took him forever though.
“After becoming the Chiefs' starting quarterback in 2018, he led the team to seven consecutive AFC Championship Game appearances and five Super Bowl appearances, winning three.”

He’s also only 30. Weird hill to die on when it’s pretty much indisputable.
Vele is a beast and an outstanding wr3. We saw the chemistry between him and Shough become something exciting at the end of the season before he got hurt. Seemed like every time we made a big clutch play, it was to Vele.
This is quite the hot take for a QB that’s on pace to have a career that rivals Brady’s.
People are way overreacting to this pick. Matthew Stafford is 38, had a mysterious back injury last offseason that kept him from practice basically all of the preseason, and has been hinting at retirement for like 2 seasons now. Let’s say they draft the TE from Oregon and he has a great rookie season; 700ish yards 5 tds. Do we really think that’s going to be the difference if they win the SB or not? And then now they are drafting 28+ with a 39 yo QB who’s most likely headed to retirement.
Rattler is the QB3 and may not even be on the team next season lol. Zach Wilson is better than him.
Well Denver also has no chance without a healthy Aaron Gordon. That team is not very talented at all outside of Jokic and Murray.

When he was the #1 in Brooklyn he averaged like 26 ppg. He should be great as a #3 with Brunson and KAT but he completely fell off for some reason. TM3 is so much better and Bridges fetched 5 1st picks.. hmmm..
