You’d have to get them to take Graham and possibly Temple’s contracts as well for that deal to take on Hart’s salary. We do need guards with more size so Hart would fit that and his defense and rebounding would be a plus too but we also could use more shooting off the bench and Hart is really hit or Miss there.

Me

I love Josh and want him to come back, but no way I’m giving up #8 for him. A couple 2nds or removing the top 4 protection on the 25 bucks pick would be the most I would do.

I would trade Temple, Graham and Naji for him.

NO! I want one of those 6-7, 6-8 wings that can drain it with high percentage from 3 like Mathurin, Griffin, … heck there are a few that look like clones of one another.

Josh was great for the Pels last season because to start the year Zion was out, NAW was trash, and the main ball handlers/creator were Ingram and Graham. So Josh's Kamikazi drives were valuable offense.

His fit is completely different now. He'd go from starting last season to bench player this year, and I'd say it's likely he'd be lower than Trey on the depth chart because of 3s. I also wouldn't be shocked if Jose beat him out for next off the bench, but that would be more of a toss up. So you're talking 7th or 8th man. He'd be great at it, but you're really not maximizing what you get out of him, and that is definitely not worth a top 10 pick.

We are gonna be up against the tax for the foreseeable future. Productive players on rookie salaries (see Herb/Trey/Jose) will be something we can't pass up.

Alvarado is the backup PG next year that’s set in stone plus you have Kira coming back if they don’t move him first so PG really isn’t a need especially if they are going to run some point Zion again in some fashion with the 2nd unit in. We need 2/3 with some size 6’5” or better that can shoot. If they agree to take Graham and Temple’s contracts though you have to really consider that deal although having another cheap rookie contract isn’t the worst idea either. Bottom line they have to get off of Graham, Temple, Kira or all 3 no matter what they do this off-season because they have no cap space. They are in the negative but still just over $2 million shy of the luxury tax. The #8 pick would count about $5 million on the cap so they need to move someone or sell the 2nd round picks but I’m unsure if that would count against the cap or not.

i saw Davis compared to Hart somewhere. Made me not want Davis at 8 spot, hoping we do better.

I think a lot of things come down to what someone expects the pick to come in and do.

Mathurin is a great shooter who could probably go into our rotation immediately and help take pressure off everyone else on offense, as any attention paid to him gives extra space to CJ / Herb / etc from deep and keeps the defense from clogging the paint against Zion, Jax, JV, etc.

His ceiling isn’t necessarily as high as some other guys in the draft but I see him being a piece that could come in and have a major impact for us given where we are as a team vs all the other teams drafting in the lottery.

Davis? Could use him but he doesn’t really fill a need for us as well as Mathurin. Sochan seems like a better fit than him too.

Now if someone like Ivey, Shaedon Sharpe, etc fell into our laps? Can’t pass up on them simply because of the talent involved.

That's definitely not set in stone. He will be A backup PG next year, but it may be 3rd string.

If Graham is worth the 15th pick in the draft than it will take a top 4, maybe top 1 pick to get a guy like Hart.
