I just wish BI had more of a tougher mindset when it comes to these things.

How dare you! He's having mental health issues and you just don't want to accept that and let him "heal" on his own time. Mental health is a serious problem athletes face, and if they need to sit on the sideline, or hell not go to the game at all, while still making a couple hundred grand each game, then so be it. Nothing is more important than his mental health. Take all the time you need BI.

Yes.

Nothing structural (as I SAID), nothing on the MRI.

He is listed as questionable

Yes, you went out on a limb and predicted no structural damage. Well done.

Predict the BI update.

I say nothing structural, re-evaluated in 2 weeks.

After the 2 weeks, he is still experiencing soreness so they do a scope. Out 8-12 weeks

Didn't he do shoot around yesterday and not play? Wouldn't dunk on anyone being skeptical about him missing time until he is on the court.

The frustration of injuries last season just wore me out. The medical staff and BI weren't above criticism last year, much less this year. I'm just not going to get my hopes up so I don't get so mad when the injuries do come. Which is already happening

Based on his history, he just seems to have a low pain threshold. I get if he thought something was wrong with his knee getting an MRI before doing more and potentially having a serious injury. But if the imagining checks out and the only issue is pain, take some advil and get back to work, which the practice picture seems to indicate he's hopefully doing.

Meh, knees are the scariest injuries for athletes.

I know everyone is freaking out because a Pel is injured, but put me in the camp that is totally fine with being cautious about a possible knee injury in the third game of the season.

Pure speculation but it wouldn't surprise me if he has some kind of phantom pain mental issue. The toe thing was weird and this looks to be the same. Either way I'm glad nothing is wrong with his knee. Games are more fun to watch with BI playing.

You don't miss the amount of time he did last year because of a "phantom" pain.

I think what he means by “phantom pain” is most likely pain tolerance. It may seem like his pain tolerance isn’t as high as maybe some other professional players. Regardless, I hope he plays Wednesday and Thursday but my gut tells me he’ll sit out one of the games in the back to back.

He's likely also someone who's a bit more scared of injury too.

Yal forget, he is one blood clot away from his career being over.
