Problem is most think OG is a very good player and it appears the Raptors think he is the next coming of Michael Jordan.

3 and D wings are in demand but they are heavily overestimating his value.

The Gobert trade likely goes into this along with the number of potential buyers this trade deadline.

I don’t necessarily mind getting OG but I don’t see him as the piece we need. Hence I don’t see selling off all our assets to get him.

Agree. He is not worth either the assets to acquire him or the contract he will seek in an extension. I hope we do not try to outbid anyone.

Griff, if you are reading this, please no big moves that tie up space. Herb, Knife and Jose all wildly outplay their contracts. Get healthy, and let’s ride.

I would not give up Dyson or Trey for OG. Herb I would part with in theory.

In the discussion in The Athletic, the Raptors beat writer was insistent on two of the three. Which, yeah, is ridiculous. It's just not happening.

I don’t believe the Pelicans win a title as currently constructed but I also think that OG isn’t the best answer.

Pelicans want to keep their assets as deep as possible with the possibility of a star becoming available this summer.

Stars Such as….Kevin Durant.

Do you think we would take a rental of Gary Trent jr?

Maybe he doesn’t re-sign in the offseason, but you could potentially flip him in a sign & trade for the player that works better.

We would have his Bird Rights, so for example….we sign & trade him to Detroit and bring back Bojan.

Scoop has been really consistent in his Pels news. He definitely has some inside info for us at some level.

I am a bit skeptical. He has repeated a lot of McNamara's posts at times. This is another one that McNamara put out there previously after Irving traded. He said almost the same exact thing.

Meh they are just shooting for the moon to see what they get. Remember when the Saints were saying it would take 3 1sts to get Payton…

I've noticed that as well. I'm willing to believe it's possible they just have the same source within the organization than Scoop is literally just following Mac's twitter feed for news.

I don't know if one is following the other, but someone definitely has a source. Since Scoop joined Bally's his injury rumors have been numerous and completely accurate.

People like to clown him but he has been solid. Wasn't he the first to report zion coming back before all star break?

In house news is credible but when it comes to trades, draft, and etc... No one in the local media has the inside track.

I’m not saying “I want OG for a bag of nickels” but they are asking more than he is worth given what he brings to us. I’m fine with walking away if this is their price.

Right

Offer Herb and 2 non-Laker 1sts and if they don't accept, that's fine.

Though more and more I'm thinking he's not exactly what we need in terms of type of player so not sure why we're going for him at all.
