Bojan has a little iso/creating his own shot game as well. Unless he lost that ability recently. Graham and either Kira, Temple or Hayes works money wise. Hopefully there is a way to package 2 of those 3 and maybe include a heavily protected first that ultimately becomes 2 seconds.

Want zero part of Duncan Robinson who was basically unplayable. Herro isn't good either, especially at his money

Bc while I love Bojan he plays the 4. With EJ probably going two-way I’d rather go get a 2/3 that can shoot and then another big on a minimum deal that can play the 5 in a pinch if Jonas is down. I love Larry and Willy but feel we need a rim protector on the bench
Boogie, Baynes someone like that

Depending on how many of these we can offer, EJ may get an Exhibit 10 contract which is convertible to a 2 way deal. Counts against cap but not roster spots as best I can tell.
Idea is we have his rights for a year and he gets paid. If he recovers, we can make him a better deal.

Exhibit 10 is just a camp body deal that gives $50k for signing with the Pels GLeague team. Not sure if that gets him anything a 2 way doesn’t.

A 2 way counts against our roster spots (15 regular, 2 two way).
An E 10 apparently lets us pay him without tying up a two way roster spot indefinitely

He is that’s true but I feel like he’s a hard worker (trains with Jrue’s guy) and would be a good volume shooter off the bench for us where we can recoup his value.

Just a note here. I read an article today saying the pels have made a trade offer for cam Thomas. The article said that rumors are that if he’s traded it’ll be for a 1st round pick. Three teams have offered total and I forgot the other two.
He’s had a good summer so far. Had 7 assists and was 15-15 from the ft line. Also, he’s scored at least 26 in every game and it seems his games grown a bit. I think he’s tired of the media asking him about passing when he’s told the numerous times that he’s working on that and defense the most so that he can get more minutes. They ask him about it after every game no matter what lol

There are 15 roster spots and 2 2 way spots. It counts against the 2 way spots, not the roster spots. And right now we only have 1 2 way taken up by Seabron.
A 2 way contract is worth about $500k. An E10 gets you whatever a camp contract is, plus $50k for signing with the Birmingham Squadron. A Gleague salary is $37k.
So with an E10 and getting a contract from the Squadron you can maybe get close to $100k vs getting $500k with a 2 way. If they give him a contract it would be a 2 way and not an E10.

Wonder if they will stand pat now with EJ on the 2way. They don’t have to do anything now

I would imagine we would do whatever would be necessary so that he gets the medical attention from the team to go through this recovery.
Also, in reference to Mitchell being available, if that happens then i would very much like to try to get Jordan Clarkson somehow. Upgrading Graham to Clarkson would be huge.

They had a 1st round grade on him and ACL tears are something that you usually fully recover from, I can't imagine them not trying to keep him. If we don't hear about EJ on a 2 way soon I take that to mean they still plan to give him a full contract and are just waiting for some trades that had lined up to happen.

Hard pass, way overpaid.
Said this last season when everybody was wanting to trade for him and would get blasted. He was basically unplayable for the Heat and he's under contract until 25/26.

I think teams are going to realize soon that "shooters" who don't offer a secondary skill (defending, ballhandling, etc..) as well should not be getting paid as your third best player. See Duncan Robinson, Buddy Hield, Joe Harris, etc... You're much better off putting that money towards a player who can play defense, even if they only shoot league average from 3. Ideally you have a player like Mikal Bridges or Klay Thompson that can play defense and shoot. Hell, I'd even rather a player like Lu Dort over Duncan Robinson and they have essentially the same contract.

when you look at our salaries for next year and out, we really can't afford to have a guy making $16+M.
With BI/CJ/Zion making $102M combined, then Jonas making $15M, and i would assume Nance gets extended for 2 years at $10M/yr, we'll be close to $127M with just 5 guys. add another $15M for Dyson/Jose/Herb/Trey/Billy.
That's $142M with 10 guys, not including Kira's $5M or DG's $12M, and obviously not Jaxson either, and more importantly, you can see why we are very unlikely to resign Jaxson when you look at or salary situation.
You can assume another $7M for 2 minimum guys and a 1st round pick.
So right at $150M and 1 or 2 spots to fill.
The difference between having a guy like Buddy Hield $21M for two years, or Davis Bertans Duncan Robinson for $16M for 2 years or more, or Jordan Clarkson/DG for $13M, or a full MLE guy is a really big difference for us right now on if we are a tax team or not next year.
I think we need to move DG/Jax now for an expiring guy, someone that if we like how they play this year, we can resign to a reasonable deal that's near MLE level or lower. and Kira is going to have to get moved next offseason as well. The only way we should get back anyone with more than a year on their contract is if they are making DG money or less.

I’ll lay out the numbers to help illustrate your point.
If we consider our core locked in, we have the following money set for the 2023 offseason-
Starters -
CJ at $35.8m
BI at $33.8m
Zion at $33.25m (estimate, finalized when cap number ks announced)
JV at $15.4m
Key subs and current supporting cast-
Dyson - $5.8m
Trey - $3.3m (team option)
Alvarado - $1.8m (not guaranteed)
Herb - $1.8m (team option)
Assuming all options on these guys are picked up and we aren’t renouncing options in order to sign Herb et all to long term deals, that is $131m right there for eight players.
That does not count Graham, Kira, Temple, Willy, and Naji, who are on the books for another $26m or so combined if all options are picked up and they aren’t traded before then.
Just running it back with everyone under contract puts us into the tax by about $720K. And that is without paying Graham or Nance.
If we cut or trade several of those players, we get out of the tax but we are still well over the estimated 2023-2024 cap of $130m.
We’re at the point to where we need to be either having draft picks on cost controlled contracts doing the supporting roles or we need to be dumpster diving for cheap players who fit what we do in order to keep out of the tax or minimize any tax payments.
Flipping guys for mid-late firsts may happen a lot if we think there are guys out there who can bring the traits we need cheap.

I think we're even closer than your expectation, because I assume that Zion will hit the escalator.
Zion-39.95 (30% max assuming he makes all NBA)
CJ-35.8
BI-33.8
Jonas-15.4
Nance-10 (assuming extension or new contract)
Dyson-5.8
1st Rd Pick-3.5 (estimate)
Trey-3.4
Billy-2.6
Naji-1.9
EJ-1.9 (estimate if he's signed)
Jose-1.8
Herb-1.8
That's ~158 mil with 13 players and assuming that we get rid of Kira, Jax, and Graham without taking any money back. The tax line is estimated to be 161, we'd essentially be right at the tax by adding 2 more minimum level players.
ETA: I see Teke just did what I did

Another source close to Irving told The Post that the All-Star point guard not only never asked for a trade, but has had every intention of playing for Brooklyn — with or without Durant.
“How did we get into this situation about trade, when he opted in?” the source asked rhetorically. “Here is the situation. He opted in, which means he had and he has every intention of playing with the Brooklyn Nets. KD decides he wants out and now everybody is talking about trading Kyrie, right?
“Kyrie has not asked for a trade. Now, if the Nets don’t want him, that’s something totally different. Kyrie has not said he wants a trade. He opted in. [So where did] the trade conversations come from? Is it because, KD requested a trade and now everybody’s like let’s trade Ky?
Kyrie opted in.”
