I also like Boogie off the bench as an enforcer for playoff time and he can still shoot

I don’t get why we would give up Hayes and a first for a guard that doesn’t play defense.

Have y’all actually watched Hield play? He just jacks up bad 3s and gets burned on defense. We don’t need guys like that

We wouldn't be giving up a first.

For the Pels it would be:

Out:

Hayes
Kira
Graham

In:

Hield

It would solve the roster crunch and get rid of long term salary.

ETA: including Hayes and Kira as long term salary

I stand by my original sentiment regarding this offseason. If you can't defend, I don't want you. I'm not saying you have to be an All-NBA type defender, but I don't want any more Devonte Graham's on this team.

We don’t need another defender with the addition of DD. Jose, Herb, and DD can lock up the 1-3 with the starters or bench players. We need another true SG and a defensive backup C.

You want Boogie getting playoff minutes?

Hard pass. Jval and Nance got the center position covered IMO.

That's fine and all, but my point remains the same. If you repeat your mistake last offseason and bring in another Devonte Graham, whether that be Buddy Hield or someone else, if that guy is a turnstile defensively it does nothing for you. Teams are going to find ways to attack that guy over and over and over again until you take him off the court, it doesn't matter who else you have on the floor. That's what the NBA is today. Like I said originally, I don't need the guy to be All-NBA, he just needs to be adequate if he can contribute offensively. He just can't be a turnstile. That's one step forward two steps back.

Yes I understand. My point is that even Devonte Graham will have a better season this year because his role would be minimized and we wouldn’t need him for defense. The addition of DD and impact of Jose/ Herb neutralizes that issue. If we need points then put in Graham/ Hield to be 4th shooting option, if they can’t shoot or are a defensive liability then we have 3 guys waiting to replace them.

Our offense will run through BI, Herb, CJ, Zion, and even Val before Graham or Hield. They simply wouldn’t have to do as much this year and we have the assets to minimize their mistakes during bad games.

What would a team do against that?

Hunt Buddy.

Also, not directed at you TigerAtl, but to Pels Talk in general Buddy Hield is garbage.

I think the move is trading Graham + Lewis/Hayes/Temple.

I don’t think Buddy is worth Hayes/ Graham/ Kira

I’d give them Graham/Kira/ Temple for Buddy. Hayes has more value in a trade by himself.

Plus, why would you want to get rid of what Willie has built - the fun of the game.

The nets literally ruined their awesome (and just as successful team) from the 2017-18 season in order to chase Kyrie and KD. Backfired in their face.

That Deangelo team was so much more fun to watch and they reminded me a lot of the current pels team.

Boogie actually played really well in the playoffs this year.

Do I think he'll do it again? Absolutely not.

Was a fun team but to be fair this pels have significantly more talent than that Nets team had. All the more reason not to make this trade.

Also, that whole team culture thing we got going, I'm sure Boogie would fit in perfectly with his positive attitude.

I’d rather keep Kira out of that trade, then I’d be ok with it.

The Pacers are interested in signing Deandre Ayton to an offer sheet or even negotiating a sign-and-trade involving Myles Turner, per
@WindhorstESPN
.

"But holding everything up is the Suns' negotiations for Kevin Durant. ... Ayton may have to move on and do his own deal."

I’ll laugh my arse off if Phoenix overpays for Ayton or gets a crap return because they were chasing the emotional lesbian.

Given the expirings they have on hand and the cap holds they can rescind, Indy is in a very good position to offer Ayton a big sheet if they are inclined.

So Indiana went from having two Centers to possibly dumping both of them. Long live the Sabonis/Turner tandem.

I believe this is from a Marc Stein green room today on Spotify.

quote:

Ralph Mason @Ralph_MasonJr 39m

Brad Turner: Don’t see anyway KD is back in Brooklyn

Stein: KD has made it clear he wants out and I believe they will accommodate that

That would be crazy if they traded KD for less value than Rudy Gobert, but if they are absolutely going to get a deal done before the season, I think that's what might happen.
