I don't think they are going to. I think there is a high chance KD is there at the start of training camp.

It would be funny if he showed up fat, Harden style

Agreed.

Brooklyn isn’t inclined to move him if they don’t have to.

Kyrie? They will listen to offers but they aren’t just handing him over to the Lake Show for Westbrick and a few broken condoms.

Talks are all over the place.

I just saw about a 3 team deal with Westbrook going to the Spurs since they have so much space. I guess he'd get bought out and the Spurs get draft picks. I don't know what the Spurs would send out..

To who?

The Spurs have McBuckets and Josh Richardson as pieces for a contender at $13m each. Jakob Poeltl is also a decent center. Keldon Johnson may get moved for picks.

That’s if they have to send anything real back. They may potentially send out a top 55 protected 2nd to get Westbrick and a shite ton of picks.

Spurs have some attractive expiring deals. I don't think they would dump them for nothing. So I don't know why they would give them to the Lakers. They could take on Westbrook for picks.

I don't know why they'd have to buy him out. They could keep him, play him and still be a bottom 5 team.

I'd save those other deals and piece them out separately. Poeltl and Richardson should bring something really good back, along with Johnson.

Lakers wouldn’t get any Spurs players. The Spurs players would go to any other team involved looking to compete and with assets to send back in picks or prospects.

Effectively, they’d get paid to eat Westbrick’s contract at which point the Lakers can try to beg people to send players into a $47m TPE for seconds or to dump bad contracts.

If it’s beneficial for them. They should include Simmons in the deal too.

Simmons and Ayton isn’t a great a fit.

I don’t see a deal for KD that Brooklyn is going to accept.

Minnesota overpaying for Gobert has really hurt the market.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen an owner not take their superstar players calls

On mobile so hard to post but Aron Baynes has recovered after his freak injury and will work out for teams…interesting fit if we move out Temple, Jax, and Graham assuming he has anything left

Sources: James Harden is taking a $15 million paycut for next season that allowed Philadelphia to elevate roster — with sole focus on a championship run in 2023. Harden opted out of his $47M player option and now plans to sign a new two-year deal with a player option in Year 2.

Everyone around Harden has understood the focus on his workout regimen this offseason and a championship goal for 2022-23. His close relationships with those around the organization, including Michael Rubin and Daryl Morey, played a major role in trust between the two sides.

I thought his “workout regiment” was clubbing and strippers.

I'm shocked.

Won't matter though. He's washed

If by some miracle Harden can lay off the clubs and strippers I think he can rebound.

If this is true, it would be the first time I can remember in a long time he wouldn’t be coming into the season out of shape, working his way back into shape the first half of the season, then gassing out by the playoffs from clubbing too much

Here is the Lillard contract breakdown:

Current contract

22-23: $42.5M
23-24: $45.6M
24-25: $48.8M

Extension*

25-26: $58.5M
26-27: $63.3M (P)

The extension numbers could be adjusted based on the salary cap in 2025-26. It cannot exceed 35% of the cap for that season.
