So they wouldn't discuss with their stars who are going out?
Unfortunately I feel like AD wouldn't like the idea of losing someone like Randle to get Beal.

If AD doesn't like the idea of that upgrade, we definitely shouldn't allow him anywhere near the decision making process.

Rumors are Boston maybe looking to shake things up..

Niko, Moore, Wes and a 1st for Hayward and Rozier??

Think that would be feasible, or if they would even consider something like that?

Also, would Hayward be enough to convince AD to stay?

I'd be down for that trade. I have losing Niko, but I love Hayward's versatility and this may be the perfect time to buy low on him. Not to mention Rozier gives you another good ball handler.

what were Jrue, AD and Boogie last year then?

Jrue wasn't a star before Cousins' injury. Breakout Jrue didn't happen until that point.

And I wouldn't consider Boogie a star.

2018 Hayward? AD's gone.

2016 Hayward? You are talking a borderline championship squad.

But like Jrue before, you have to wonder what Boston knows if they are truly willing to part with Hayward so soon.

....Though in that scenario Rozier, Jrue, Hayward, Niko, AD is a much more natural fitting group than Julius. Though either core is solid. You would have a starting lineup where every player has the ability to go off big any given night.

Still, I'd imagine Boston has more patience than we are giving credit for and they aren't going to blow it up this quick. Especially when you know they think they are frontrunners for AD. They are not gonna want to help us keep him.

To desperately get off that Heyward contract.

That they can’t afford to pay Hayward and Kyrie and then have to give a max to Tatum. And they have too many SFs

sometimes the simplest explanation is the most likely...they have TWO other players at his position they like better, both on rookie deals.

boston signed hayward before they knew what they had in brown and before even drafting tatum. hayward makes like 30MM/year...cant pay them all

Right. If they were really being forward thinking they'd trade Hawayard and assets for Beal and sending Mahinimi to a 3rd team. Really back the Pels into a corner.

Yeah, I like it. It's pretty decent with Randle staying as a one dimensional threat off the bench during the middle of games.

However, what would Washington's response be to this:

Beal, Morris, Satoransky -- for Randle, Solo, Wes, Diallo, Clark, and Jackson. They get two young-ish prospects plus a centerpiece with Randle. Obviously, Pels would include this years 1st rounder, but would Washington want another pick?

They would laugh while their hanging up..

You're asking them to take on Solomans deal, and Randle would only possibly be a half year guy for them as they dont have cap space next season to re-up him, and they dont have the talent there to convince him to take a pay cut compared to what he would recieve on the open market..

Any deal with Washington would center around Niko with us taking back or diverting Mahinmi to a 3rd team

1) Hayward has been utter garbage this year, he could possibly get worse, or may get back to his former self, is that a gamble a tax team would be willing to make? Also, if Hayward does regress, then they would SERIOUSLY have to overpay to match anything for AD, as in sending Hayward, Tatum, Brown and 2-3 1st rounders.

2)Rozier has been seeing less and less minutes with them, theres a good chance he doesnt re-up with them this offseason, so they can get something for him now rather than lose for nothing.

3) This deal would do nothing to affect their bid for AD, and may help them as they could also include our 1st back to us, along with the other 4 they have.

4) Hayward and Tatum are both natural 3's, and they've been forced to play 1 or the other at the 4. This would allow them to keep Tatum at the 3 where he is best suited, and gives them a starting quality 4 that is a true 4.

Also, they receive a scoring guard to bring in off the bench to replace Roazier's production. They dont really need him to be a ball handler since Smart is their facilitator off the bench.

If Boston would do that deal then that is the type of deal we should hope for. Buy low on a star that is locked up.

You have Holiday and Hayward locked up. You show Randle you are totally into him as the future next to AD. You add another PG to the mix for Holiday. The biggest issue would be the long term of Randle, but I think the Niko/Randle future is complicated already.

I disagree. I would not take the risk of Hayward with his contract. He is one of the top 5 or 6 paid players in the NBA performing like a marginal backup.
