re: Brandon wants to be here-Griff

I am choosing to believe they didn’t get the offer for BI they thought, so they’re gonna roll into the season and are still open to trading him before the deadline if he can pick his value up. That or he really is committed to changing his style of play. Anything other than those two and this ...

If we get a higher pick as part of a BI trade, I wouldn’t be mad about Dillingham. Though I haven’t looked into him much since he’s going so much earlier than where we pick ...

I would love if Topic fell even though he most likely won’t play year. I just don’t see him falling that far. I think more than likely our options will be Holmes, Filipowski, Kolek, or Carrington. And I would probably put them in that order. That’s if we’re only looking at C and PG. There wi...

The PG’s at 21 definitely have limitations too. Collier: a true PG and is strong but not that tall or that great of a vertical athlete. Also can’t shoot. Kolek: another true PG that can shoot but isn’t athletic enough. Carrington: sounds like more of a scoring PG/iso player which scares m...

There should be some C options at 21, but the more I read, the worse they all sound: Edey: probably won’t be there Missi: has bricks for hands and absolutely no touch Holmes: sounds too small to play C (otherwise he’s my pick) Ware: has effort concerns (no thanks after Jaxson Hayes) ...

Anyone think we might draft a PG?

Posted by PTinBR on 6/22/24 at 6:36 pm
Until now I’ve been all on the draft a C train, but the more I look at the C’s that will be available when we pick, the more I realize how limited they all are. I’m starting to wonder if we might take a PG like Collier, Kolek, or Carrington (who was just mocked to us by Locked in NBA Big Board). ...

You forgot Holmes who may be the best fit of all of them. I’m hoping for either him or Flip. ...

I like Holmes but I don’t know that he’ll be there when we pick, and he measured a little smaller than expected at the combine. I think the best realistic are either him or Filipowski (I doubt Edey will be there either). Unfortunately I haven’t seen or heard much about Filipowski other than his 3 po...
Defense would be real suspect with Mitchell and CJ as our starting guards. But I’m of the mindset that we need a better lead guard, so I’d be down. ...

re: New Shuffled Saints Offensive Line

All the noise about Ruiz to C is 2 things: 1) Ruiz was drafted as a C, and I think McCoy was drafted s as a G. Everyone thought the Saints would move McCoy to G when they drafted Ruiz, but they didn’t partly bc that offseason was shortened due to COVID (possibly also it was never really their in...

I actually love Ruiz at C. To me he looks good when he fills in there...

I’m a big fan of getting Murray. He plays great D and shoots a good percentage from 3. I don’t believe the toxic personality stuff. AD has always raved about how good of a dude he is when we play him....
“Little Mahomes” is very appropriate. He looks like a mini version of Pat. The play style is similar, just not as effective or consistent. I like the pic at this point and with the opportunity to sit and learn. Low risk, high reward. ...

I don’t think you can hold onto Dyson and Hawk that tightly. I like both of them, but if you want to get something of value back, you have to give up something of value. ...

Is next year’s draft supposed to be good? I know this one’s deep. Why not trade some from next year then next year you can trade the next years. Just keep it rolling. ...

I would love to do a 2 for 1. Trade BI and maybe some picks/players and get a PG and a C. Maybe Murray and Mobley, Scoot and Ayton, Garland and Allen…. And I’m aware some of those are more realistic than others. More dreaming than reality. ...
I would love Bortolini. He looked like the most athletic IOL at the combine. Would be perfect for our new system...
Most NFL trades are for picks, but corners have been going for pennies lately. I think Lat’s contract was restricted though so we could trade him without a big dead cap hit. ...
Maybe trading a corner for a starting lineman? ...
