Augustin is the only PG on Orlando's roster at the moment. Even if they sign Ike Thomas, not sure he is expendable

I could really get behind some Corey Brewer. Massively underrated.

ETA: he looked downright amazing in OKC last year. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say he could do what Solomon does but better. Mostly cause Solomon sucks.

Crewz, what’s with targeting even MORE guards? We have absolutely no wing depth.

You gotta have at least one more PG. I don't think you can go into the season with your only ballhandlers outside of Jrue being Payton and Jackson.

Aaron Brooks is still out there. Shane Larkin has some Stevens fairy dust still on him, but maybe worth a look. Tim Frazier too

Also, what's Vince Carter thinking this summer?

Corey Brewer posted a 121 Orating and 105 DRating in OKC regular season last year in a small sample size (18 games 13 starts). When I watched him play, he brought a hustle and energy to the floor as well. Dude’s everywhere.

To be fair, I don’t think anyone really saw this coming

J Jack seems to fit the mold what we are looking for and what we may be able to get for the minimum

Am I the only one that is terrified of the thought of paying barnes 50 mill over the next 2 seasons?

I never thought he was more than an average starter, a 5th or 6th best player on a contender team.

And to give a first rd pick for an average starter on an overpaid contract? Not a fan

Barnes has a PO for 2019-2020. I’d be surprised I’d be opted in so he would essentially be an expiring and we would have his bird rights. Question then becomes is he a long term piece and worth going into the tax repeatedly for?

Hope the Mavs start slow and trade for Barnes in December. Then trade Barnes and all of our future assets for Butler at the deadline.

I can get on board with that or a three team trade where Barnes goes to Minnesota, Wiggins to Dallas, and Butler here as the framework

1) That's what the offseason is for
2) I just posted an article in the big FA thread about how Butler is frustrated with the kids he's playing with.

Barnes would be a “home run” but I really do love the Dinwiddie/Carroll trade proposed. Dinwiddie would be great in this system but could be had next offseason with the full MLE I think. Get Barnes now and him next offseason along with bringing back Randle and Niko and you have a squad to build around

Dinwiddie
Holiday
Barnes
Randle / Niko
Davis

I’d do anything not AD or Jrue to get Butler.

Just don’t see it ever happening. Maybe at the deadline if Solo and Moore are having career years and Diallo has progressed.

Solo/Moore/Diallo 2019 1st, 2020 pick swap, 2021 first, multiple 2nds.

It’s fun to dream.

That is too much for a rental.

You'd have to get to Butler and have Butler direct himself here or wait until he's a FA. The Pels don't have the assets to trade for him normally.

Why would Harrison Barnes opt out though

I don't think he'd get $25 million again, general consensus seems to be that he and Porter are over paid. But I can see him getting $20ish million. You opt out of $25 to sign a 4/$80 type of deal.
