If we really do not plan on making a serious hire then sell the team.

This is an obvious "yes man" hire with ties to NOLA.

This is not a type of hire that plans to improve the team for a better career or prove his worth. He is simply collecting a paycheck.

This hiring would truly show that Gayle and Loomis do not care about the fans or franchise.

A decision to keep Willie umong other things will be a slap in the face to any fans that are left.

If a decision is made to hire Dumars and keep Willie then I truly do hope Gayle Benson sells the team as I have lost all respect and hope in her abilities along with Loomis.

I would rather see both the Pels/ Saints franchise thrive somewhere else than continue to be suffocated/ destroyed by the embarrassment that is Gayle Benson and Mickey Loomis.

She’s had buyers who would have kept the team in Nola. She refuses to sell the team. Earliest she’ll probably sell is after the expansion check comes in

I've been becoming less and less of a sports fan over the last decade.

This might be the final nail.

I've already quit the Saints. Now the pels.

LSU is haging on by a thread but transfer portal and NIL will kill it too soon enough.

I don't believe this at all, no one is going to spend the +2 billion needed to buy the team with plans on keeping them in NOLA. They may say they will keep the team here in order to buy it then would move the team as soon as the lease expires in 2029.

shamit has said this who’s been pretty accurate the last month. I’ll believe his source over a fans assumption.

I agree with almost everything you said with the exception of sell the team and you’d be happy to see it thrive somewhere else. Idk if yall remember how it was like NOT having an NBA team but it was no fun being an NBA fan and having to travel hours to go see a team play much less your favorite team play the nearest team.
This situation sucks and it does not look like it’s going to get better soon but I’d rather have a shite team to love than not. How many Seattle fans are happy with OKC success?

It's not fan assumption it's common sense. New Orleans is not a desired market for someone to spend that amount of money and keep the team here. Look at what is going on in Dallas with there fans having legit concern that there ownership group is trying to sabotage the team in order to move and Dallas is a huge market.

If Gayle would sell the team before a long term lease is signed with the state then where screwed (we still wouldn't be safe with a long term lease from a new owner moving the team but we would have a lot more protection if they do try)

Man shut up with this nonsense. Willie will be gone when the new man steps in. It will not be Joe Dumars, just wait and see who we bring in then talk

Hiring Dumars and then drafting either Sanders or Dart at 9 may make me implode at the same time as a Saints and Pellies fan

Obviously that is purely his OPINION. There is no way someone like Shamit would have more knowledge about what a potential buyer would be thinking than say the NBA or anyone else.

It will be very easy to give up the NBA entirely.
