Question - Were the conditions that bad in the Bower days because the Shinns were just cheap bastards or because George was really feeling the pinch on his debt servicing? Or a little of both?
I know Shinn halfassed his organization but I’m trying to figure out how and why his finances got so bad he basically threw the keys to the league and walked away.

They traded Chandler, at least in part, because they were afraid they wouldn't make payroll. Okafors deal was longer, but was at a smaller annual number than Chandlers

he got sued to hell and back for sexual harassment in charlotte and basically got run out of town. He was a big time bible thumper (no offense to any bible thumpers) and couldn’t show his face around after that

I don’t know if we get him or not and I don’t know the guy from Adam but some people like challenges and the thrill of building something. Maybe he wants to go back and rebuild a new franchise? Maybe just wants to move away for a new adventure. Who knows? Hope it’s true that we get him.
