I'm in agreement with you. I think Zion is going to get moved.

Just so Fun Bunch doesn't have to do the dirty work again:

We would be pretty top heavy, but moving bey, Alvarado, and Hawkins totals about 15.3mil

It doesn't make too much sense unless you think he can be the 3/4 backup for 25ish minutes.

It'll free up fears as the backup pg, but you'll be thin at guard without Murray back.

Now in reality in an ideal world he takes the mle and banks on himself a year, but I don't see that happening

PG: Murray/fears
SG: Jones/poole
SF: Murphy/kuminga
PF: Williamson/queen
C: missi/looney

If his role is attack rebounding, setting screens, and bumping around the other teams’ 5, Ayton is solid. At that price tag, it’s a bargain for sure. However, Ayton is assuredly not a great player.

Mac also says something similar: we send out Bey, Hawkins, and Jose and a pick of some kind, and get back Kuminga starting at $18 million his first season (something like 4 years $80 million total), and we stay below the tax.

I really think he turned the corner as far as weight management when he came back from injury last season. Fingers crossed.

I think that’s why Scoop said we would sign a vet guard. I’m assuming to fill in until Murray gets back.

What Mac is suggesting gets you VERY close to the line, I think depending on the JK contract.

Not sure you’ll even have room to sign any vet guards but you’ll really need one.

If we move Bey, Jose, and Hawk, how many roster spots does that leave us with?

We may be throwing a lot of two way or minimum contract guys out there for minutes at a point.

What a joke it would be to only get 30mil/year Kuminga for Herb. We don’t even know if kuminga is worth that, much less giving Herb. We’d be the laughing stock of the league.

A Sacramento reporter says that the Kings are also making a play for Kuminga:

We’re already there thanks to the draft and the last few years.

And why would GS do this?

I wanted Kuminga at the deadline, mostly b/c I thought we could get him below market in a trade. I’m still for it if it doesn’t cost much.

the only reason is if they get picks and possibly a way to reroute alvarado and hawkins for a PF/center (or maybe even reroute buddy)

they are WAY too top heavy with steph & jimmy, that counts for 114mil between the two of them.

GS is doing it for Zion. Wake up people. We don't need Fears, Poole, Trey, Queen , Z and Kuminga all needing usage and shots. Eliminating Z from this mix actually makes a ton of sense.

We ain't getting Kuminga for spare parts like Bey and Hawkins. And we aren't willing to move Trey or Herb. We also like Podz. Now that might not work financially, however

Zion for Kuminga around $20M a year, moses moody, and buddy hield does seem to work financially.

Also, I'd like to point out that the picture of Zion is impossible to determine what kind of shape he is in. He very well might be in shape or 15-20 pounds overweight. That picture tells us nothing.
