He's already paired with Fears, that's a good start!

If Queen would be thrown into next year's draft and you had this preview of what his pro career would look like what pick do you think he'd be? We got a top three pick next year. His name is Derik Queen and we hit on the pick. People are assuming you'd hit on next year's pick and that's far from a guarantee.

I think Queen moves better than all the guys named

This 100% what I've been saying! If Queen and Fears both look like good players, which they do then that bird in hand is a win! So many prospects don't pan out. These two are both super young as well.
Queen will be a stud in this league! Drafts are so hit or miss. He's a big who can put it on the floor, has good vision, and finishes well. Relax, it's only dumb if he is a bust. Next year's pick could have been one. With that said should it have been top 4 protected, sure, but I've seen enough from Queen to at least feel like that wasn't a bad pick.
So much hate on Queen by a bunch of non knowledgeable basketball fans. It's painful how people misconstrue patience and off speed to just call him lazy. That's just his style. There's nothing lazy about him. I get that we gave up alot for him but he will be a stud in this league and make alot of you eat your words.
For the record I think he'll be a great player. I'm just pointing to the fact that the majority on this board talks about Queen like he's a bum. He's going to be a stud in this league. I feel that Fears has the more growing to do between the two. He also has the higher upside.
Queen is going to be good
I question the knowledge of basketball from alot of the members on this board. If you didn't pull anything really positive from Queen, you're really missing it. Very patient when heading to the basket, nice passing ability, and can finish. He'll be fine. I was more worried watching Fears, although I still believe he'll be a stud. He was trying to force it too much. I don't understand the meltdowns on this board. If you hate the team so bad, stop watching.
I don't think anyone is thinking Fears or Queen will make an impact. I believe both will!
No he wasn't . Wasn't nearly the player he was in Sacramento
Peja for me because I felt that amount of money hurt us from achieving what we should have with Paul.
Can we give him time to see the product on the court?
No way to tell if the deal shakes out until you see how Queen shakes out. We're also assuming that the guy we'd take next year would 100% shake out.
I'm in agreement with you. I think Zion is going to get moved.
I haven't heard anyone say maybe we're planning on moving on from Zion.
Strongly disagree with this thought process. If we trade Herb for a nice haul including picks, we're back where we started with draft capital plus Fears and Queen.

100% agree! If our front office believes we got two high end picks what does it matter if it's this year or divided up between two years.

That's old?

Melt down

Why can't the melt down wait until next year's lottery happens? What if both us and the bucks are good? What if Fears and Queen are both absolute studs? What if we flop Zion for multiple first? I just don't get how the sky is always falling on this forum. Both of these guys came into college very young and did nothing but exceed expectations. Can we at least see how it shakes out?
