Every Pels starter had a negative +/-

I understand it’s one game of preseason , but did we see anything to be excited about?

It’s all going to boil down to if they are willing to put more offensive players on the court instead of trying to “band-aid” the defense with Herb.
A Dejounte Herb Trey Zion and Missi lineup is just not good. The lineup is supposed to be defensive but we gave up 30 in the first.

That lineup is not supposed to be defensive. You have 2 plus-defenders, 2 minus-defenders, and whatever Missi is.

I’m not watching any game if both Fears and DQ aren’t starting. fricking retarded.

Zion being a 6th man makes a ton of sense. Let him get his runs when starters aren’t fresh. Go let bey do some of the tough leg work playing defense etc

We could have packaged Murphy/Jones for a great package this summer. Bey/Mathurun could have easily took their minutes and I don't think we are any worse.

Fears / Murray / Bey / Murphy / Queen

Poole / McGowens / Mathurin / Zion / Karlo

Missi and Herb mixed in when needed

That's what I'd do.

I’m not as low on Missi as a lot of you guys are. I actually think he does some really nice things and don’t mind him starting. Completely agree about Herb not being able to start. He’s not the same guy he was a few years ago on either end of the floor. He should be in the rotation, but not playing starter minutes.
I also think that Fears should be starting every game. If you told me that half way through the season he was the best player on the team I wouldn’t be shocked at all.

Herb is one of the definitions of been here during this time, lack of trajectory and complacency in the organization yet he gets a free pass by fans cause he's a cool cat.

Zion looks close to being done.

His superpower was his explosion. He has very little lift left.

Hopefully he can rediscover it in season.

Every single one, except maybe, maybe a healthy and in form Dejounte, comes of the bench for a contender.

That is a dreadful starting 5 in shooting, rebounding, rim protection, ball handling, athleticism, and any other metric you want to throw out.

That starting 5 probably loses a game to Fears, Mathurin, Bey, Queen, Karlo

We are not going to be a good team.

Continue to shed shite salary.

Continue to play young players in meaningful minutes.

Does Gayle still own the team?

Is Dumars still the president of operations?

If either of these are true, then no. None of it matters. We might make it to the play-in, which we'll lose, but then all of Gayle's people will just be telling her how great she is because they "made the playoffs".

I'm just more excited to see that group play (especially if you swap Missi for Karlo).

I just can't get excited for our 5 highest paid players. If we are fully healthy with Zion, Murphy, Murray, Poole and Jones, we might win 35 games, maybe 40 with some breaks. Just not a very high ceiling.

If you took those 5 guys and just replaced them with mid-level vets, I still think we hit 30 wins, at least 25 at worst. 5-10 wins sounds like a lot. But those 5 guys make almost $150M this year. That's a ton of money for 10 extra wins..
