I feel like if Griff had balls, the trade would’ve been done already. IE: the Mikal Bridges trade that happened last night. Griff is on the fence right now, bc he isn’t getting offers he wants for Ingram. And when he’s on the fence, he doesn’t pull the trigger. He reverts to his factory setting of banking on optimism bias until an asset completely deteriorates to a Tomas Sato level haul.

This is real talk. People melt because they can feel this coming. People don’t change and Griffin will do exactly this.

Didn’t she bankrupt her interior decorating company? And you think she’s capable of running not one but two billion dollar sports teams lol?

That’s what I’m saying! The offseason hasn’t even started and we are melting down from picking a center in a terrible draft.

That's not why people are melting. People are melting because they don't trust this team to do what it needs to do, trade BI for a better fit, and by not doing it tonight they are assuming it's not going to happen any time soon.
Then Griff comes out in the presser talking out of both sides of his mouth "BI wants to be here..but there are financial realities" and "we will be aggressive...but you have to wait for the right opportunity and time". That sounds like someone that doesn't like his options and is paving the way to make failure to trade BI look like the original plan.
I still think we need to actually wait to melt, but it's not looking good after that presser.

According to Griffin in his presser tonight rosters aren’t set until September. And you’re right and so is he, technically there is no rush. But here’s the issue when you wait that long. When you’re trading for a major star like Trae or even a guy like Dejounte, you need to build around them. Sign guys that accentuate their strengths and hide weaknesses. For instance, if you’re not trading BI and/or other pieces (Dyson, maybe Herb, Nance, etc.) until September how do you build around that team? You basically can’t because free agency is gone. We’re going to sign a center with no clue how our offense will be run because we don’t know if its going to be BI, Dejounte or Trae? 3 completely different players. You’re building a team blind. Thats why I think its a bad idea to wait all the way till September to make a trade. But for Griffin hes going to wait it out and still may not get what he wants.

Windy really just said we're gonna reevaluate the Pels in two weeks.
Even in the off-season, we can't escape these two week re-evaluations.

Donovan Mitchell didn’t get traded to the Cavs till September 1. I absolutely do not want to wait that long, but it might be a while before everything finally shakes out

I think ultimately our main dumping ground for BI is going to be the Sixers, but they probably aren’t going to be desperate enough to give us a deal that we like until the Paul George situation is squared away. Unfortunately their deal is going to mainly be focused around picks, which means we’re going to have to find a third team if we’re interested in adding talent rather than assets. If the Sixers sign or trade for someone else we’re probably fricked

I think we're also impatient and want resolution.
We've waited five years to get the BI/Zion thing resolved one way or the other and it just keeps dragging on.
Change for the sake of change isn't good but this franchise is so stagnant.
There's a LONG way to go, but...
If you look at just the offseason to this point, you have to give it a big F, especially in regard to how our competition has done.
Since the end of last year we're poised to lose two of our only guys with grit in Val and Naji and replaced them with some dude who doesn't know how to play basketball yet.
Again, I know this isn't the final roster but so far it looks terrible.
