Crazy how it’s a straight up trade. Good overall for the Thunder.

He was on Team USA.
Zach Lavine, like BI, is not a #1 player on a good team.

I"m not saying he's going to go there and be an all-star. It's a risk for the Kings. You might get an often injured Lavine. You might get a Lavine that doesn't try hard. or you might get the Lavine that accepts his role with Fox and puts in the effort defensively and the Kings are an actual good team b/c of it.

Fox/Lavine/Murray/Sabonis core with Monk/Ellis can be a scary good team if they can add one more good player at the backup 4/5.

Thunder got better. As usual great work by Presti.

I wish we had Presti as our gm.

Definitely makes OKC better, have to wonder how much Caruso’s extension will end up being

I agree with this. And he was excellent with Team USA, basically the anti BI.

But he has also been incredibly injury prone. And that trade basically ensures that Sabonis will be the only quality big on the team, which I think is a huge problem for them.

Good lord. Rockets aren’t trading for Ingram, especially with what is being proposed in this thread.

And did not even have to use a pick to get Caruso. That team was built right.

They traded a guy they picked 6th overall, still on a rookie contract.
Don’t act like they got Caruso for nothing.
If anything they gave up a bit more imo.

Yes that’s a high price for Caruso. The pedo stuff I’m sure dropped his value in their eyes and OKC didn’t want to deal with it any more.

OKC also has talent out the wazoo so they can afford to take a loss on a guy if it gives them a piece they need.

And getting a stopper like Caruso who has won a ring will definitely help that team.

Sucks how he’s name a pedo when the girl gave a fake id to security. It was only a 2-3 year age different compared to Karl Malone.

If I’m trying to win a ring. I think the all defensive guard who shoots 40% from 3 is a lot more valuable than the non shooting slow footed guard who got benched in the second round. Caruso was worth more than just giddey. It’s not a horrible trade, but Caruso was worth a lot more 4 months ago.
