He was teasing us with hypotheticals. He also threw out a Randle/Niko/Solo for Kevin Love proposal.

I am not sure it happens in the next week or even in the next 4 months. But I would bet the Pelicans add a "marketable star" in the next 12 months.

Selling tickets is a REAL goal for this ownership.

Yeah, I want no part of Kevin Love. He also said Griffin has a big trade kicker and would cost more. I don't know if the cost more part is Moore or you have to add picks. I'm definitely not interested if picks are involved.

If that is the case we could possibly resign Niko over the summer

If I'm not mistake, we would be forbidden from signing them in the offseason.

I'm not teasing anybody. I have heard multiple routes the Pels can go with Randle/Niko/Moore

But I do know that getting a "marketable guy" is a high priority. Could be now or maybe they get a ton of assets now and get that guy in the next 12 months.

If they do it now, Blake, Love, and Jimmy Butler make the most sense.

But yes, moves are coming pretty soon.

Wouldn't it be better to grab a 4 since were more than likely going to be absent one?

Jimmy Butler and Tatum play the same SF position no?

I figured you had heard it, I meant teasing as in allowing us to think it could be imminent by posting "Get Ready" in a thread about players on the trade block and then tweeting those surveys out.

Get Ready, because at least one deal is VERY close. Possibly two.

'Positions' are far less important in basketball these days. More about roles and what elements each player on the court brings to the table.

Butler provides enough ball handling and playmaking to start Jrue/Butler/Tatum/good rookies or players traded for picks. The combination of Jrue and Butler defensively and competitive spirit-wise, plus the trade return from BOS or NYK.. that'd be fun to watch.

Tatum
Jimmy
Jrue

Butler would leave after this season is up. Not sure what he would help with as far as ticket sales. I would think they would want someone for next season. I really hope it is not Love. That would be a disaster.

It's a business, man. It sucks, but it is.

Movie studios could put out a MUCH better product, but they risk losing money if they bank on the product.

You bank on what is marketable. It sucks, but that's literally every business. The sports teams that put the product before the profitability are the exception, not the rule.

It sucks, but the older I get, I understand. And its my choice to then never spend a dollar to support them. And I don't

This franchise is absolutely fricking retarded.

Completely shortsighted. Can’t look past this year’s ticket sales to do a build right.
