Nah, he’s cheap for now. He has his moments but he’s a very small guard who gets overpowered by bigger players. We have to start collecting assets for the chance of hitting on gems, like a Herb Jones.

I mean, I’m not losing sleep over trading Jose. The issue is, there are guys ahead of him that should be traded for assets. Herb’s value can only go down. Trey too. Zion? I’d trade him for literally anything at this point.

This feels like doing a solid for Jose tbh

It does. And the cash may be used to buyout Dalen Terry.

Man this one hurts.
I agree. I want to blow it up so I'm not going to complain guys are getting traded but I can't pretend like he wasn't an all time favorite Pel. Pretty meh return on him too which makes it worse.

Which is why he can be kept cheap

When you’re 13-40, you lose the luxury of running it back. The team next year needs to look completely different.

I agree, in an ideal world, Z, BI, CJM, TM3, and Herb form together for an elite small ball 5 lineup that goes on deep playoff runs. We are simply cursed so we must suffer.

Where is Murray ? Will he ever show back up?

Well, everyone outside of DQ, TM3, and Fears
Trey’s timeline doesn’t fit a rebuild around Queen and Fears. By the time the come into their own, Murphy’s contract will be up and he won’t re-sign with us.
He’s our most valuable trade chip and we need to capitalize on that either today or over the course of the next season and a half.

What I would give to have the snake oil salesman back in charge of this team.

Two years ago we had the best bench in the league. Jose, Dyson, Trey, Naji and Nance. Glad we made sure we put a stop to that.

Don’t understand trading a crowd favorite for this guy…
Kind of amazing how many people don’t understand the trade or NBA trades in general. We didn’t trade Jose for that guy.
He wasn’t going to re-sign here. We got something for him. That was always going to be the case.

If you think DQ and Fears are gonna ascend by year 3 then the timeline still fits because Trey is so young. But I see what you’re saying about him being the most valuable asset we have. Maybe we should wait til Dumars is gone to decide on that one.
