I’m sorry but we are idiots if we trade Trey and other assets for Jaylen Brown.

No question Brown is far better than Trey but even adding him to play with Zion, Fears, Queen and Bey doesn’t make this team competitive with OKC or San Antonio. Brown is 4 years older than Trey making $70 million a year!!!!!! Also he’s hands down the smartest player in the league and has other interests outside of basketball. Guys that are smart and already paid at his age could become an issue if we trade for him and still suck arse. Again, I LOVE Jaylen Brown the player but I HATE that contract and the player being 29 years old. Brown and Zion would take up $100+ mil of the salary cap by themselves. The numbers just don’t work in my view. Better to just keep Trey and try to improve along the fringes or use trade future picks to add to the team and maybe ship out Poole’s contract. This team isn’t competing anytime soon in the west so I highly doubt Jaylen Brown would be a happy camper coming from Boston to the a team chasing the play-in every year.
