The problem with trading assets for Brown is that I think it makes us a bottom tier playoff team for a few years and then it further fricks any future we are trying to build
What we are building right now looks extremely bleak. Like worst outlook in franchise history bad. I will take being a playoff team over that.

I've come to the conclusion most pelicans fans with cope with any decision the franchise does because they believe Fandom means agreeing with everything they do and if they dint they believe their Fandom is at risk so they cause others idiots for not being yes men for short term impactful decisions that logically don't make any sense.

No question Brown is far better than Trey but even adding him to play with Zion, Fears, Queen and Bey doesn’t make this team competitive with OKC or San Antonio.
Yes but team just needs to be in PO.
7 years w/o PO with Zion now.
Brown can help.
We already need to become a PO team.

This would be the Paul George trade all over again.
Sending out assets with the younger player for an overpaid guy nearing the end of his prime.
Jaylen brown isn't nearing the end of his prime and is kuch better than Paul George.

People want 3-5 1sts and swaps for Murphy. Yet don't want to give up draft picks to get Brown. It doesn't make sense.
I don't want to give up several draft picks, Trey, and DJ to get Brown. But that's probably what gets it done unfortunately.
Our 1st rd picks lose value in a Jaylen Brown trade assuming we are competitive going forward. i'd rather include 1st rd picks and keep (1) of Trey/ DJ if we are trying contend but I guess Herb would be the guy you keep in this scenario.
Base offer:
Trey/ DJ/ '30 1st/ '32 1st
Backup:
Trey/ DJ/ '28 1st/ '30 1st/ '32 1st
Most we can offer:
Trey/ DJ/ '27 1st/ '27 swap/ '29 1st/ '31 1st

We don't need to trade anyone. Mrs. Benson just needs to forget about the luxury tax and buy us more help.
