Ingram isn't a bad consolation prize for losing Mitchell.

The key is what do they recoup with Mitchell.

If they lose Mitchell, they're looking for another high usage guy to go with Garland, or I assume they are.

Ingram does seem like a decent fit there.

Then Mobley is the proverbial "war chest" move

To be fair that so called “war chest” is not nearly as big it may be. I agree I think Mobley is the big move and you draft/sign smaller guys sround the Zion Trey CJ Mobley core.

I am talking cost. We're going to give up all the extra picks we have and 3-5 of our own 1sts, to get Mobley.

Jarett Allen is more likely and will cost less (b/c CLE cant play them both).

It's one thing to question if he'll make the right move but another to question if he'll make moves at all.

He's traded away a fan favorites like Jrue Holiday, Josh Hart, and Steven Adams. He liked these guys but still moved them to try to improve the team.

He's moved on from likes of Lonzo Ball, Kira Lewis, Jaxson Hayes, Favors, Devontae Graham, NAW, Nico, and JJ. Some of these are guys he brought in and cut bait. All of these were the right move, especially Lonzo in hindsight.

He hired and fired a coach after one year. That's admiring a mistake she moving on.

I don't understand why there's a belief that he won't make changes. If thinking he's made so many mistakes that he doesn't deserves more time that's another talk.

I like Allen as well. I will say Mobley has more offensive potential but Im ok with Allen- I think he makes our defense from top 6 to top 3. Also I can see Willie loving Allen.

CLE has 2 major issues

1. Mitchell is forcing his way out, and they're likely going to have to acknowledge some sunk cost b/c I doubt they get a similar return for him a year later.

2. They have to pick between Mobley and Allen, b/c they both can't co-exist.

Why I think they’ll angle hard to get BI, to make up for losing Mitchell. Which if they do, we give less picks and ask for Mobley preserving our picks for other moves.

They will demand a war chest for him. They won't for Allen.

Then just get Allen. I don’t know why they would demand that for Mobley- he hasn’t really progressed as much as they hoped. Allen meanwhile has added to his offensive game this year as well.

I had read a few nba guys casually talking about Mobley and they were absolutely clowning on him, basically saying his value is the lowest it’s been. This was a couple of weeks ago

What is the problem with him? Is it like Anthony Davis where he was expected to be a #1 but he's only a #2, or is he not even a #2?

I would love Mobley for Ingram if we don’t have to give up much more.

They expected him to become an all star and be more a 3 pt shooting threat. More PF than center. He just never progressed to that level offensively and then had injuries.

Not if BI is the main framework of a Mobley deal.

Everyone should be prepared to be disappointed.

They should have fired DA and Mickey. Didn't happen.

Griffin and Willie will be here next year.

Jonas will be gone. And we will be paying Nance 11 million. LULZ.

I bet no major moves are made.

Agreed but if Mitchell left and they did want BI, it would likely not take BI plus a huge haul of 1sts.

Yeah but not really sure there is a demanding market for him. I dont think cleveland will have a choice. No one is giving that up for Mobley- people rather pay that for Kat.

It all depends on your definition of major.

Some moves will be made, they have to be.
