Honestly, would you trade Zion at this point?

What would it take for you to part with him?

Magic offer you 2 Firsts...1 unprotected 1 and a Top 3 protected 1 and Wagner Twins. You taking it?

They should have traded him. Let some other team build around his dominance and then flounder when he sits on the bench.

I take that and run. Zion is a borderline bad contract right now. You think if he only plays 20 games next year any team would trade for him? I'm not willing to bet on his health

There are times when you consider trading a guy...and times when you don't. This is one of those "don't" times.

Zion has many things he can do to mitigate his injuries, from stretching maniacally like CJ does, to shooting more and smashing defenders less.

What you use this opportunity for is leverage to get Zion on board with treating his body like he was over 30.

So when do you consider trading him? Because if he misses another season with injury you may not be able to trade him.

Preface this with saying Zion is injury prone, and it is becoming a liability for this franchise.

No you can't trade him at this point. When healthy he is elite with essentially one move, spin and drive left.

Zion has played 20 more games through 4 seasons than Embiid did in his first 4. Embiid has only played 60 games 3 times, and most he ever played was 68. If Zion can even give you 65 games a year going forward then we will be a top 3 team.

Now in 2 years he is still can't give you 60 games then you seriously consider it.

This is one of the more highly frustrating times of Zions career for me, along with when CJ said last year at the all-star break that Zion hadn't reached out to him but he was going to get to the bottom of it. At times like this is when you reserve judgement on something. That and I'm more in the blame the medical/training staff camp more than blame Zion camp anyway. Just all around frustrating.

If he comes back with about 10 games to go before the playoffs, I'll be happy, I'm just not getting my hopes up.

if they actually asked,
i would take only the younger wagner and the unprotected first and be glad all over. i doubt you could really get more until zion plays out the last week of season and playoffs.

i had the younger wagner as top 5 pick. hes got more air on his outside shot since he went pro. it was flat at Michigan.
the rest of his offensive game is impeccable.
hes the kind that makes a team game look fun and elegant.

I laugh at them then hang up and call a hitman to take out everyone in that front office for making such an insulting offer to me.

Seriously, you guys need to stop, this shite is ridiculous. Zion is not getting traded, he will come back 3 weeks after the ASB and dominate all the way to the finals

Not sure you could get just Wemby for Zion.

What if no one is to blame and he just got unlucky with a hamstring injury like thousands of other athletes before him?

No.

If we are trading Zion, we are building around Ingram and McCollum. We need players that give them the best support and fit around them. Picks aren't the best thing to get.

I'd do like the Spurs and send Zion to the Raptors. Zion and Val for Barnes and Siakham straight up..

I'm not a fan of talking about Zion trades because I hope we don't do it. I really want him to succeed here. That being said, no team is doing this deal. Wemby's upside is just crazy, plus a top 15 player and picks for a guy that can't stay healthy. Nah.

Zion needs a rabbits foot earring with all these unlucky injuries

There's no chance a team would do that. Wemby has maybe the highest upside of any player since LeBron.

I’d call Memphis up and offer them Zion, salary filler, and every pick we have for Ja Morant and Desmond Bane or Jaren Jackson. We might need a big if we are trading Zion.
