We should have traded him when he was healthy.

call Memphis up and offer them Zion, salary filler, and every pick we have for Ja Morant and Desmond Bane or Jaren Jackson. We might need a big if we are trading Zion.

so memphis can choose either bane or jj jr to keep?

morant was #2
jj jr was #4. complete player.
bane was #30.

you get bane and morant after their playoff run.
memphis get zion, as he is after the season.
they get first round picks in 23, 2 in 24, 2 in 25.
is that your idea?
they have #2 defense in nba and a deep bench.
as is they have a reasonable shot to reach wcf. 2nd seed although all their starters have been out a week or more various times. jj jr first weeks of season.
by the time your proposed trade can manifest memphis will have a playoff run.
if they look good in wcf you cant buy morant for zion straight up.
morant is the straw stirring the drink. hes not producing like top tier stars but hes must see tv and people go see him.
i saw 1st qtr vs celtics.
he had several highlights in one quarter. hes box office.
bane shoots better.
tyus makes fewer mistakes.
jj and brooks are better defenders.
its a team game and they probably feel set for 2023 2024.
if they move bane and morant for zion, they would need those picks to work out. they would need to flop miserably in playoffs to even take you seriously.

they dont do jj jr and morant. jj is still developing and hes approaching rocketship exit velocity. a mighty star.
hes going to be great.

you could probably get clarke and bane for zion but only if he plays this season and looks ok. and the 24 pels first.
just that. you get clarke a bouncy rim defender and pnr defender pf (i wanted him for pels when we opined on draft.
i didnt know he has a chronic thigh injury) and bane a great shooter.
memphis hopes zion suits up.

i dont see a deal with morant and your jj jr idea being a fair deal.
morant only just got a 3 pt shot. hes still developing.
jj jr just needs time not injured. hes missed big stretches and loses his touch from deep.
hes missed more time than you'd like and he cant shoot after. zion never could shoot so you dont notice. due to knee morant was unable to suit up for games 5 and six - tied 2 games to 2 in last years 2nd round series vs gsw (eventual champs).
your pels docs will want to look at that knee.
off season he lifted serious weight to give the knee muscle help.
lol. you get jj jr and hes out 6 months. morants knee goes out and zion averages 36 for the griz.
careful what you wish for.

i suggest you do your zion deal for another team players - without the jj jr history of long time issues.
ive been following morant so the jj jr thing is definitely a factor for you.
peace. out.

the Depaul hoops program died when the 6 8" black straight As star of chicago public school champs was gunned down for nothing.
he was a basketball prodigy. not just a future nba guy. someone wonderful.
DePaul died. never a factor since. he was a depaul commit.

Not sure you could get just Wemby for Zion.

There is 0.00 percent chance you’d get Wemby for Zion at this point if we’re being real.

Couldn’t you have started with this, so I could have known immediately you’re a 13 year old. I mean it’s not like I read all that crap anyway.

Editing to apologize to all 13 year olds. Most of you are better than that.

I was more or less being facetious, but I do appreciate the breakdown.

A realistic Zion trade value thread probably would be fun one day. More fun than watching him sit on the bench 70% of the time at least.

At a certain point. He loses a lot of his trade value if he continues to get injured. We could have gotten an absolute haul 2 years ago. Not so certain now.

Then there is the added factor of having to trade him for a guy that won’t turn up his nose at playing in New Orleans, so it makes it a bit more challenging.

And Zion was a generational player too. After 4 seasons, he looks more like a generational injury bust.

He's ONLY 22 YEARS OLD! Calm. Down.

Even if it takes him another 3 years to transition his body into what it needs to be... we could STILL have him for another decade.

There's no chance a team would do that. Wemby has maybe the highest upside of any player since LeBron.

Wembanyama is the next Kristaps Porzingis

him dominating the NBA is unknown. we've seen Zion dominate

All the talent in the world won't do you any good if it sits on the bench for 3/4 of the season.
Starting to think we got a lemon!
