I’m sure he can’t say much given the CBA but he can sure as hell leak it.

We know we offered him. Boogie is out there straight up lying his arse off to get pity and the Pels are absolutely getting crushed today.

He may have made the right move, but perception matters among players. They have to come out and correct the record.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't know what the rules prohibit Dell from saying, but he somehow needs to address the false narrative being put out by Cousins and his agent. They may not have liked the offer that we extended, but make no mistake, an offer was extended. And apparently, Cousins and his agent just overvalued his worth because it doesn't sound like any other teams were willing to do a long term deal either.

The Pels were going to get crushed no matter what. It would have been 10x worse if they would have given a player trying to come back from a major injury a max deal. (think Eric Gordon) And also to that, they have proven they can win without him.

We'll never know how good the Pels would have been with a healthy, productive Boogie but make no mistake the Pelicans are no worse off today without Cousins than they were yesterday with him on the roster.

This. Boogie might come out of this looking more childish than Dwight. He basically is paying $10+ million to buy a ring and shine up his legacy before he signs with whichever desperate team offers him the most money.

If you read Twitter and Reddit or watch ESPN and so on everything is the Pels fault.

Not really---the talking heads on ESPN have been running with the "GS was the only team to offer; don't be mad at Boogie or GS---be mad at your team for not calling him" narrative all morning. The common fan isn't locked into this stuff---they'll buy the Boogie story if the national guys keep saying it.

Anyone with half a brain knows what happened "poor pitiful boogie, couldnt get an offer from NO so he had to go sign with the defending champions" i mean come on. Its hard for me to take the likes of Jamelle Hill and Stan Verrett seriously.

the "Boogie baggage"

Sacramento learned what this is the hard way.

All things considered, it looks like the Pels are sitting pretty after Boogie.

Getting Randle has to make AD smile. And, AD is no idiot. Yeah, Boogie is his boy but winning heals all wounds.

100%

The Pels proved last season that they could win without him at basically the same pace that they won with him. It makes sense to basically clear salary for next off season. If they add no more salary to 19-20, they'll have ~30 mil in cap space, with the ability to get to 50+ if they dump Solo and Moore. Basically, they can start their team from scratch with AD and Jrue in the 19-20 offseason if that is their desire.

This especially so if the Randle rumor with the Lakers is true. No team in their right mind would want to hitch their wagon to Cousins long term. He just confirmed what all the scouts have been saying about him.

This is all very logical, and if we don't hear reports of what the Pels were offering him very soon, like today, I'd say we can logically assume Boogie is probably right and did not get an offer from us.

Its a semantics game. He did not get an official offer from us to sign.

He got several unofficial offers to mull over.

Right, and those will get leaked.

If they don't get leaked in the next day or 2, I don't think we can say without question he got unofficial offers.

He starts by explaining why rondo preferred LeBron and Los Angeles and magic to del, New Orleans and AD.

T.v. Acts like it's impossible to understand how pels lost rondo.

Boogie is a gamble. The explanations on rondo are more telling.

I think the leaks coming from other camps like Boston are making Dell look better.

Boogie apparently didn’t negotiate with anyone and just took the first offer thrown his way by the Warriors. Boston didn’t even have time to make an offer as he was signed with GS before they even realized he was interested.

follow him on twitter. He takes the same stances she does. I'm not sure if he believes a lot of the things he says. at least i hope he doesn't and its all for entertainment purposes for him.

Looking at all the message boards and ESPN, the damage is already done. Boogie got ahead of it and now no matter what is said, people are just going to believe no one else even talked to him.

It is what it is.
