Ok. The Pelicans trade AD for: Tatum, Smart, Robert Williams, Yabusele, 14, Memphis pick
They draft Zion #1.
You aren’t trading Jrue.
Complete the rest of the offseason to fill in the gaps. Who would you take at 14? Who would you sign in FA?

I would sign Niko to pair with Zion. We need a big that can space the floor and still protect the rim decently. At 14, I would go BPA and try to get talent at any position. Hopefully, he would be another shooter.

Niko would be a good fit at a randle level deal. Not sure what his asking price will be though

Nickeil Walker-Alexander/Tyler Herro would give the Pels a wing to generate offense(moore is likely gone). I also like Hachi/ Washington / Claxton at PF. Would probably stash 39 somewhere.

Wouldn't cost an arm and leg

I look at a big that shoot the three and create to be the “backup” to Zion but part of the finishing 5.
Niko Mirotic is the perfect fit here - 3/$45
I’m trading Yabusele, Hill, and a future 2nd for a guard on a bad contract like Courtney Lee (waive him)
I’m trading 39 and 57 to move into late first to draft Cam Johnson
Draft Romeo Langford at #14
Sign Jared Dudley to a vet min
Re-sign Elfrid Payton
Really want to trade Time Lord and sign Looney but don’t know if that would be possible so he stays for now
Smart / Payton / Jackson
Holiday / Moore / Langford
Tatum / Williams / Johnson
Zion / Niko / Dudley

Got shooting, defense, hustle - would be fun

Hell yes to Cam Johnson. He’s my third favorite player in the draft outside of Zion and Morant. Not because he’s going to be an all star but you know what he will be. A solid role player that will give you good 3 pt shooting and solid play.

Could possibly do a s&t with OKC and trade Moore for Nerlens. They’ll take any 3 point shooter they can get.
Also want to find a way to get JaMychal Green. He is the cheap 3 point shooting 4 we need.

Absolutely you can. Smart shot decent from 3 last year. They would kill in transition and defensively they’d be a nightmare. They would need two shooters on the court with them for sure
