Those same scouts say we gave up too much for Graham by giving up a lottery protected first but then say were gonna suck and not make the playoff. They’re retarded

Wow, a bunch of executives who want to see the pelicans fail so they can get Zion or BI said the Pelicans failed. Breaking news.

I don’t see anything extremely daring Griff did to make them say it. All he did was unload players don’t fit with big contracts (Bledsoe and Adams), draft Murphy (who’s looking like a good pick up) , signed Graham to decent contract, and didn’t overpay Ball. Also, replaced an outdated HC who didn’t get along with the players to a young and up and coming ex player. Seems solid to me.

The narrative is always going to be negative for a small market team that dumps high-profile, but overrated guys like Lonzo Ball.

These same execs probably think Miami overpaying Lowry and the Lakers retarded Russ move are great.

For context, one executive voted the Bulls off-season as one of the best moves but then 3 others voted them acquiring DeRozan as the worst.

I, frankly, put zero stock in this blind survey.

I remember when everyone thought Knicks did bad moves and thought they were a laughing stock last year. Especially hiring Thibs. Then as the season went on, they made the playoffs. I don’t really care about all these executives and scouts bs talks.

I would bet that the majority of it is made up strictly for clicks, and they didn't get any of these comments/remarks from any one of any importance.

Caruso was a nice role player with Lebron and AD. He was exposed by hobbled Lebron and injured AD. The Chicago Bulls don't have Lebron and AD. Hobbled or healthy. His team came back to LA with Bulls offer. Rumored to be open to a bit less. The Lakers said they couldn't go over 7 mill per. Then paid Thorton-H-Tucker 10 million per. It isn't politically correct but you can cobble together a good team defense without great individual defenders. Especially with shot blockers. You can't cobble together shooters. Caruso makes Lonzo seem like Reggie Miller in comparison.

The Lakers would take back Ball, with all his flaws, over AC in a nanosecond.

And DeRozen is an empty calories signing for Chicago. Not a 3 point shooter. Not a strong defender. He can score points. NBA execs sour on Chicago signing him are correct.

Nets getting Paddy Mills and the Lakers getting erratic but ultra athletic shooter Malik Monk were two very good signings.

Cleveland is acquiring Chicago restricted free agent F Lauri Markkanen on a four-year, $67M deal in a sign-and-trade, sources tell ESPN.

Wow 17 million a year. More than I thought he would get.

A lot of money and Chicago is getting their first.

Chicago has a pretty shrewd FO, despite the Lonzo deal.

So let me get this straight, you can send a RFA and get back a first? You can go out and get a better RFA than you sent out, and you get to unload unwanted contracts and not give up a first?
But you knumbskulls think we had to give up a 1st to sign Graham, knowing full well that Charlotte was never going to match any offer sheet he got.
Our GM got played left and right this offseason.

Bulls have almost nothing up front now, other than Vucevic. Nice add by the Blazers though. Nance can learn a lot from Covington and gives them another big to throw at the LA teams. Jones wasn't sniffing minutes on that deep backcourt. But he had talent. Cavs are just built weird. Can they really not move Love?

Blazers pick is protected 1-14 through 2028. It becomes Portland 2028 second-round pick if not conveyed before then, per sources.
