we will have $125M after BI's max, the trade, and Kira.
Tax is $132M

We either need to shed salary, or we are filling out the roster with near minimum salarys.

Could also use the tax payer MLE instead of full MLE I think.

You don't have to offer the full MLE to one player. You can use the MLE to give someone just above the minimum if you want.

I seriously doubt we want to be a tax team. There's no reason to be one.

BI's max is a little more than anticipated, it is 28,750,000, which after the max brings us to 126,663,167 in salary on the books.

We can use full MLE and are then hardcapped at 139.

We have roughly 4 mil space below the tax line, I doubt we want to pay the tax this season.

If we want to contend for the playoffs, and sending out a first for Adams tells me they plan on it, then we will have to use the MLE to bring in at least a player or 2 and enter into the tax at least a little bit.

This current roster with only minimum contract guys will not compete for the playoffs

if they use the BAE and full MLE they will be about 5.5MM over the tax line and 500K below the apron.

we can assume that won’t happen so most likely they’ll use only part of the MLE and none of the BAE

I think we’re looking at one rotation player with partial MLE and 2-3 minimums.

Oh and I haven’t seen it here but Guillory confirmed that the Pels don’t plan on moving Bledsoe.

ETA: Torrey Craig would’ve been a nice fit. Hell, maybe they bring in Batum (I think he’s probably done but maybe take a 1 year flyer).

What’s everyones thoughts on Hollis Jefferson. Started up from Langdons nets. I always thought he was a solid backup wing. Might be a good fit.

Hollis-Jefferson will give you absolutely nothing scoring wise but he has some rebounding and defensive ability.

Makes me so happy all of our shitty bench players are gone. Can’t use them if you don’t have them on the roster.
