Wait until they struggling to make the playoffs and go into a fire sale by the deadline. It’ll be fun to watch.

It isn't sustainable for GS no matter how rich their owners are or how much money they make.

That team will have to break up eventually and with Klay's new injury it'll happen sooner rather than later.

They’ll give it another year. Huge investment and risk but they’ll wait on Klay one more season

Hayward must have an agreement with someone (the knicks) for a substantial new contract.
I wouldn't have thought someone would have given him a big contract, at least not big enough for him to opt out of $34M this year.

Atlanta has been sniffing around him, I don't even know why they would have entertained a sign and trade with Boston when they can just outright sign him.

If Chieck goes to Dallas for a year on the minimum I'd consider bringing him back the following season.

He won't get $34 million a year, but he comes out ahead with something like 3 years/$70-$75 million or something like that.

The Jazz save $5M in salary for 2020-2021. Utah is working to re-sign Jordan Clarkson and extensions are on the horizon for Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Knicks get the two 2023 second-round picks to take on the salary.

Does he though?
Could he not get that same 3/75 deal after this year when tons of teams will have cap space?

Horford opted out of $28M his last year, and people thought that was dumb, then he got a 4 year deal, making $28M/yr again.
I doubt Hayward leaves $10M on the table for no reason. Someone is about to give him 3/$90-100 if he's opting out, unless he just simply doesn't give a shite about money. I think the Knicks are going to give him big money, and they are going to still be able to have at a bare minimum, enough to sign one max FA next offseason, if not 2, to pair with Hayward/Barrett/Robinson/Toppin

But he has no idea how Houston kept coming up just under the tax.
