"Heard it through the grapevine" is one of the best jams ever

Up around the bend is probably my favorite
Such a driving guitar riff to open the song

Even though they are from Cali.... I do really like "Born on the Bayou."
Have you ever seen the rain?
Proud Mary
Looking Out my Back Door
Bad Moon Rising
And I wasn't alive when these songs were released. Timeless.

Fovorite CCR song. Very, very tough.
I'll go with Long as I Can See the Light
But there's lots of close calls.
I think CCR is under appreciated. They belong in any discussion of Greatest Rock bands. I think they get overlooked because they didn't get into the drugs and live that rock band life style.

Lookin out my back door
how can you beat a song that includes
A statue wearing high heels
A giant doing cartwheels
A dinosaur victrolla
and "tamborines and elephants playing in the band" ?

Green River, although sometimes I'll temporarily get in a mood where I think Fortunate Son is one of the coolest songs ever.

Born on the Bayou. Probably because I was born in a hospital across the street from Bayou Lafourche.
Second is Midnight Special.
But the correct answer is whatever song is playing while I am at the camp with a beer in the hand.

Fortunate Son is, objectively speaking, the greatest rock song ever recorded.
