Nope, he is G.L. Here's a pic of Strait Face I pulled off of his Facebook page. Taken in Hammond around 1984. G.L. is the one in front of the keyboards. I don't know any of the other guys.

Woodenhead still plays live a few times a year and released a new, live, album a few months ago. Leigh Harris a/k/a Lil Queenie recently lost her long battle with cancer. Her entire record catalog is now available on bandcamp, together with an album that was just released of her with a band that she performed with in the 90s, the Mixed Knots. It’s a damn fine album, too.

Lex Luthor Band. They were a 3 piece cover band that played little shite bars around Natchitoches region in the 80s. Known to smoke hella weed in their van during breaks, with fans often joining. They weren’t great, but any live music in those places was highly appreciated.

Someone mentioned Razor White...I believe the WRNO Rock Album vol.1 has “Damage is Done” by them.

Could my pic be the band AFTER the girl left? And from that WRNO album, I saw Melange several times back in the day. They would do a great cover of "Kashmir". And I went to high school with a couple of guys who were in Chrome at various times.

I remember a good song named Angie by a Baton Rouge group called Diamond back in the day. Anyone recall this band?

after the girl left it was Steve Schneider bass, Daryl Smith rhythm, Randy ?? lead and Steve Smith drums.

ETA: Daryl went on to front a Zeppelin tribute band I think the name was actually "Stairway to Heaven".

The Circuit Breakers

My favorite band from my time in Baton Rouge. They opened up the whole rockin blues thing for me. Fun band.

From the same time frame I'd go see A-Train, Marcia Ball, Kenny Neal, and Asleep at the Wheel (OK - Texas but greatness) whenever possible.

And Dash Rip Rock all the time.
