I remember moving to Louisiana and catching George Ratzlaff playing the WRBT sign off one night. Never been the same since.

Kafka- I see you beat me to 'The Basement Wall'. If I recall, one of the band members was later in Potliquor. Interesting that Potliquor played the Mar Y Sol Festival in Puerto Rico which had some heavy hitters in the lineup.
Don't know if anyone mentioned 'Eternity's Children' they were technically from Biloxi but probably played more in New Orleans.
And I have to give a shout out to 80's favorite, 'The Raffeys'

Brah, they made Matilda. It’s like the Cajun National Anthem. Even my high school band plays it in the stands at football games

I remember a good song named Angie by a Baton Rouge group called Diamond back in the day. Anyone recall this band?
Heck yeah, I remember them. When I lived off of Gardere there was a bar called the Front Page across the street. Seems like they played there steady for awhile. 3 guys, the drummer did the singing.

The Zoomers
I saw them at LSU one time. So fricking good.
Saw shite dogs a bunch of times at the Bayou. Loved those guys. There was also a local band that played a lot at the Sports Page, can't remember the name, but they played Metallic and Slayer covers, so good.

There's probably people that remember Sabbatic Feast, but I was really tight with their drummer and one of their guitarists during their heydey. Great times back then.
Very sad news. Sean Anders, who was the rhythm guitarist of Sabbatic Feast, died suddenly yesterday.
