that is true ... I fondly recall early ABC Friday nights with 2 guys, a girl and a PP before hitting the Bayou or whatever drinking hole by campus. He was basically the same then.

a real bummer ... way back in the 90's, my younger self was tight with Donita and spent some time with Jennifer. She was very cool ... almost sweet for the persona of the band.

it's the same directors from Game Night and D+D .... so the material is in good hands.

I saw a rough cut of it in late 24' and actually jumped on for some reshoots for it in NYC. I think it will be a fine finished product. RR was very pleasant in person, though I know that's a small sample size. Other than this Blake Lively nonsense, I've never heard much negativity about him. Her .... not so much.

Yet there are 7/11's everywhere in Thailand

I've seen a 7/11 across the street from another 7/11. They are the best though in the motherland.

I saw a Circle K next door to a 7/11 in Hong Kong.
Asians have the convenience store model down.
Just as gay as thousands of men circling around their keyboards anonymously hammering out posts about 18 year old running backs, best pizza in Nola, hackey sack and their hatred of liberals etc etc

Maybe. Maybe not. At least specifically for film crews. Years ago I used to be a member of a website called Ricochet.com , and they had a podcaster named Rob Long, who works in Hollywood. A Republican, but “moderate”. Anyway, he always claimed that while producers, directors, writers, and actors were overwhelmingly leftist, the film crew guys were much more right wing. The grips, carpenters, stagehands, lighting people, etc. Very blue collar in habit and attitudes.

Been saying this for years on this site. The industry is full of families and hardworking craftspeople across all political leanings. I've never seen a Teamster wearing an Obama Hope shirt on the lot.

Film has been leaving LA for 15 years with all the runaway states and Canada. Now, Europe and Asia have stepped in to further take gigs elsewhere. A welder in Thailand? $45 a day. In LA? $950 plus pension/welfare contributions. Teamsters aren't helping either. They have some of the highest rates and health/pension packages. TV and commercial work is still very much in LA (at least the CBS style studio shows), but films are harder to come by. You don't have these problems, say in London where rates are half of the Americans and producers/studios don't have to pay benefits on top of that. In the states, that is 40% on top of the daily rate. That will add up quickly on a studio film.

Personally, I'm established and flexible enough to not be as affected but my last 5 jobs were in: Louisiana, China, Pittsburgh, NYC and Thailand. So a lot of travel and time away for most working filmmakers. That was the exception in LA until the early 2000's, now it is very much the norm.
this movie is nothing but an under budgeted long commercial/puff piece for the Hershey family (who funded it). They were filming in Pittsburgh while I was there for a project and the horror stories were circulating. AD while nice to look at, is not a good actor.

Looks terrible and will certainly be that.

I saw it on the bigger screen and enjoyed/appreciated it, but I was a bit underwhelmed.

If you enjoyed the Japanese culture exploration; I highly suggest Perfect Days from 2023
The Holdovers technically qualifies as a comedy

Elsie’s is the most overrated and hyped restaurant in that town

I have tried Cane’s twice. Both times I received among the worst fried chicken I have ever eaten. Popeyes, on the other hand, is a true taste of New Orleans fried food. Even as it has expanded the fried chicken is among the best in the world, and that includes from restaurants. The red beans are top notch. When biscuits were made in-house, Popeyes announced to the world that biscuits are indeed worth eating. Although Katrina probably had nothing to do with Popeyes switching to the premade frozen biscuits, which are worthy of place in the trash, not your stomach, we still blame the hurricane because it was only after 2005 that we noticed the biscuits being terrible. We also love visiting our Popeyes and have nothing but great things to say about the service there.

Yours,

at least you have the dignity to not use the term sammich in your post. Thank you.
Great actor and really down to earth, nice guy.

quit the whining .... beats the large time differences of Qatar, Russia etc. I would much rather watch matches later than 6 am, 10 am etc.

Cleveland is a very underrated city as I have spent months of my life there for work. Great touring music hub, Rockefeller money created world class symphony and museums, the east side breweries/markets and good pockets of asian and italian food. And having three major sports also is a plus. 95% on the board have not been there and it shows.

Detroit is very much on the up and a dynamic city. Get out more.
tickets aren't that bad in L.A. outside of USA matches. I'm going tomorrow for the Swiss/Bosnia match and the ticket with fees wasa $300 total. And not a bad seat.

There will not be another WC on this soil in my lifetime, so why not. I hit the Stanley Cup in Vegas on Sunday, so doubling down on cups this week.

Tushy bidet attachment … not even close
I'm not a diehard, but was working in PGH last summer and caught an AC/DC stadium show. Was pleasantly impressed with the amount of rock those boneyards still bring.

i expected them to be expensive but shitty match ups are $1000

Not accurate ... i scooped up a pretty decent seat for $300 yesterday for a match at SOFI. Not the US, but still the world cup and should be an experience.

I was lucky enough to be a part of this one on location in Pittsburgh.... really fun production and David Leitch and his stunt teams are amazing to work with. Should be a fun ride.

That was so bad …. A perfectly terrible ending to a garbage season.

At least Pierre is British. And was pretty damn good in Rebel Ridge.
