Thank you, I was going crazy trying to remember their name. They were definitely based in Shreveport. They were the hot girl at the dance of the local bands when I was in high school.

There was a band called The Back 40 while I was at LSU. They did originals. Kind of southern rock with some dual lead guitar.

My cousin was a huge fan and friend of the band back in the day at LSU. The lead singer (name?) is still a friend of his, and my cuz had him play his 60th birthday party just a few months ago here in New Orleans. Some old Dogs tunes and some cool covers.

My nominee: Phoenyx. Classic rock band based on the West Bank in the 70's. (my bro and the dude from StraitFace were in that one).

John Lilly, aka, Johnny Snotten. Bill Mallory was the bassist, and worked at Leisure Landing Record Store.
