So you are thinking that Tom's wife was Ruth's child?
I don’t think she had to be Ruth’s daughter, could have been the child of another descendant that is dead. Ruth was just said to be the last one alive.

Didn’t robert say as long as men of my blood are alive the covenant is intact?
specifically men.

He did. Now that's obviously up for interpretation, but that seemed to be very deliberate.

this is a very deliberate show
Also Ruth wasn’t about to leave the island necessitating a storm of the century to keep her there.
Someone else was

You talking about the sheriff?

I think that's a distraction, Tom was getting ready to take his son off the island to Boston.
I didn't see the Ruth thing coming, but I think it also means the storm won't kill her if she's the last survivor (I don't think she is). As others have said, I think she had a child in secret and that child ended up being Lauren (Tom's wife). It wouldn't surprise me to find out Lauren and Patricia had been friends when Lauren found out the truth and only Patricia knows (which would be why she was so adamant in trying to stop Rosemary from going down the genealogy list).
Rosemary's history lesson was a riot. "Dead baby, dead baby, retard"

My wife caught up and watched the latest episode last night. As soon as they started the geneaology, my wife says, it is going to be Tom's son.
I think everyone was and is thinking that.

Fun episode.
As someone with back problems I about woke my wife up laughing when Rosemary was going to help get the picture off Tom and when she started to pick up she shouts "O MY SCIATICA"
I know that feeling to well.
For Vice Principles fans Rosemary is the lesbian Assistant Principe Nash. Loved her in that.
The old lady 100% isn't the last descendant. Hopefully they realize that before killing her.

Seemed a bit of a wasted episode for me. Plenty of good stuff in it and some good laughs, but they spent essentially 40 minutes to get to something that could have been done in 5. Definitely set up some very interesting stuff for the finale for sure though.

I mean part of the joke was how Rosemary was dragging it out while the 3 sat there losing their minds.

I’m in the office today and it just occurred to me that our payroll/billing specialist IS Rosemary. She even rides a Harley. Sounds exactly like her, looks similar enough to be her sister.
Lives in Hanahan, SC which tracks too. Can’t stop cracking up. Absolute salt of the earth though. Would share a pic but that would be too much
the voice would be better.

Definitely. Tom’s son is the last of the bloodline. Has to be. When they started the hilarious genealogy projector show me and the wife both said Tom’ son.
Lesbian lesbian retard had me rolling.
Rhy’s facial expressions in this show are priceless.

I mean I got that, but ultimately that was the most filler episode of all time
. Its fine they did a bit, but it still just largely wastes an entire episode to make a filler joke bit. It was fine, but when i'm hyped for a new episode after a week, the bit kind of fell flat when thats really all there was.

Loved the 23andRosemary genealogy lesson.
Brilliant.
When she lights up the smoke and the mayor starts coughing so she turns on the fan and then she says it's too loud.
Chef's kiss.

This show seems committed to two things. Telling a great story and setting up funny bits. It’s what makes it unique. If you don’t like them taking the needed time to set up the funny bits then it might not be for you.
